Synopsis
Life will eventually come to an end. This is a truth born from the laws of entropy. But the life of 'Humanity' will not come to an end from something so boring as the universe's heat death.
But what would happen if this was no more than a simulation, not a digital, or even psychedelic hallucination.
What if it was the result of something's curiosity about sentient life and the conditions that invoke it's creation? If it was interested about the possibility of life in the complete absence of something that it possessed in abundance?
What if we have been working with a universe that is incomplete, missing an important element or piece that augments and sustains life in perpetuity?
What if, in spite of this entity's power, it is unable to save us from a quick and painful end borne of our own progress, but which we could have never seen coming.
What would happen to a humanity reduced to but two individuals if they were thrust into an ancient intergalactic society, constantly warring with itself over such minor inconveniences as spilled milk?
Groomed from a young age to perform this task without his knowledge or his permission, our protagonist must figure out how to safeguard the future, and he has an idea as to how.

Écrire un avisIf you are heavily into scifi novel, this is fantastic story to read. Outerspace, ships, and adventure. i highly recommend this if you have the time. I especially enjoyed the ai ships personality.
This is great! Writing Quality: No typo's as far as I have read, the prose is good I've not been confused once so far. There are some info dumps but those are essential for world building. Story Develpment: The author clearly has a plan for the plot, so far the story is cohesive. Character Design: The cast so far is pretty small, we get time to spend with characters before new ones are introduced which is something I adore. Updating Stability: As of the chapter I'm reading 4 chapters per week, which is phenominal with the writing quality. World Background: Future Earth space age, I've not read far enough for anything else.
While browsing in desperate search for a good sci-fi novel, i stumbled upon "Dead Star Dockyards"... And i got hooked, badly. The premise of the story is a bit out of the box, but that's a welcome change compared to the overused tropes nowadays. Complex worldbuilding (without unecessary info dumps), excellent characters building, be it for the principal ones or the secondary ones, good grammar and spelling, which is always appreciated, and a slow and steady development of the story, mainly due to the complexity of it. Still, it never feels... lenghty. In other words, this is a gem in the making and i'm dumbfounded how it doesn't have more recognition or exposure at this point. If i were to point one regret about this novel, it would be the speed of the updates, but like i said : i'm hooked ! I hope the author won't let us starve for too long, especially considering that is pen name is "Cakeonfrosting" ! Please dear author, don't leave us hanging and DO NOT stop writing !
This is one of the best SC-FI interstellar etc novel's out there I find nothing to complain about besides too few chapters but to be fair even if there was more then a 1000 I would still want more 10/10 would recommend
The plot develops well throughout the chapter and the picture created is admirable with an enjoyable storyline. As a reader i got sinked in this world the Author had created. A fascinating escape from reality into another world. A great read
It’s a good novel with a ton of potential, i hope to see a lot more of it in the future. The setting is fairly unique and the grammer/ wording of the novel is good.

I can't believe that there is a hard sci-fi novel in Webnovel! The world building is just amazing. It's been awhile since I got invested in things like starships or weapon types one can usually see in worlds like Halo or Star Wars. You can actually learn a thing or two from the author which includes topics like military terminologies, formations, pyshics, and even lessons on diplomacy. The characters, especially both the MC and FMC, are just endearing to me. Both of them needs and help each other to accomplish their goals, unlike the usual harem junk or comedy relief "female leads" we see on webnovel. I definitely recommend this novel to the sci-fi lovers out there!
