Chapitre 7: 7 . Tasty soup ,the tree fort and forgetting something ?
POV : Finn the Human
" Too hot ! " Finn could not believe what was happening to him right now . He was quickly trying to blow on his tongue as he fanned his now flaming mouth . For the first person in this new life of his to betray him to be his own brother !! How unexpected .
He looked at Jake with a betrayed look as he looked at the bowl of soup as if it was his biggest enemy . Why was it so hot !! How could the first meal he was having after his awakening be this hot . Weren't patients supposed to be given warm foods
" Stop crying you big baby . You forgot to blow on it first before eating it . " Jake said looking at him in worry but Finn could see him doing his best holding back his laugh and his displeasure increased .
" Hmm " Finn once again pulled up the spoon from the steamy bowl . After blowing his cold breathe on it he brought it to his mouth .
" Wow " He found himself saying the moment the explosion of taste erupted in his mouth . A mixture of spices used at just the right amount , the crunch of vegetable's perfectly cooked in the broth and most importantly the chicken prepared to sufficient crunchiness and flavor . It was making his taste buds do a wonderful dance and he liked it .
' Should I learn cooking ' Finn contemplated the idea . It would act as a good hobby away from all the adventuring and the scientific stuff he would be doing . Food for thought
This was some of the best chicken soup he had ever had and to think it would be prepared in a completely different world by his own dog brother did not reduce the incredulity of what he was feeling . Or were the ingredients magical . He could remember on several occasions countless food sources in the show being able to make sounds or speak . . .
" How is it ~ " Finn easily caught on to the inner smugness in Jake's tone just screaming to be praised for his creation and the smug smile on his face did not help much . Jake started to raise his eyebrow when he looked at him in expectation for his answer and laughed when he saw him taking another bite from the soup . That was all the confirmation Jake needed . He was a great chef , as usual .
" By the way , where did you get the chicken you made for this soup . " If Finn remembered well enough , they had just recently moved to the tree fort about four months ago so where did Jake get the chicken meat from .
They did not have chicken a chicken coup in the tree house ! Nor was it there in the surrounding of the tree fort . Finn had also failed to see any chicken walking around the tree fort . Had Jake bought the chicken . That would make sense .
He noticed how Jake looked down guiltily like an exposed child and rubbed his head in embarrassment .
" Okay , okay . You got me , it's not chicken meat . But it's bird meat ! I got it from the window . " Jake quickly added when he saw Finn's expression grow increasingly pale but quickly return to normal . ' Pheeww ' He breathed out in relief and thought ' Crisis averted '
Finn did not mind much but nodded to show his satisficed curiosity . He really did not care whether it was a chicken or bird meat , he was just curious where it had come from and he had gotten his answer . He was even more happy knowing he had not just eaten meat from a questionable source . It could have traumatized him .
He quickly finished his soup and he could say he felt all right . Obviously not well enough to start jumping around like a lunatic but good enough that he could walk in the tree house and that was exactly what he wanted to do . Why be confided in a room when he had a world to explore ! The tree house was the world in this context .
If he remembered correctly , the tree house itself was a weeping willow having a main canopy and three smaller canopies which were connected by narrow wooden bridges The tree fort was extremely big and held lots of mysteries . Mysteries he would be sure to unveil meticulously .
First of all their was The Entrance or Treasure room of the tree house where they would in the future store all their gold , treasures and artefacts from their dungeon diving's and future adventures and also where the main door to enter the fort was . He would remember to somehow expand the room , he'd rather not have it falling apart . But he almost found himself fantasizing about the mountain of gold that would one day fill the empty room . To use it as he pleased !
' Heheheh ! ' He laughed greedily to himself . Who in the right mind would deny treasure and riches . No one ! Or maybe someone retarded .
He was not a very materialistic person but to imagine such an impressive sight managed to make him feel a certain childish wonder . He would make sure it would come true
The den/weapon/study room which was very underused in both the show and from his memories . The den was maybe only used by their unfortunately not yet present robotic friend BMO and an also very mysterious peppermint butler . He wondered when BMO would arrive or were they supposed to go looking for him ?
From is knowledge of the show he had also wondered why Peppermint butler would make use of the den to conduct his occult studies . Maybe he just wanted a quiet place to work ?
Or were the books in the study special . Their dad Joshua did help in organizing most of the things in the tree house before they moved in . From the furniture , to the books and other items as well . And their dad was definitely not a normal person .
' Could he get Peppermint butler to teach him about magic' Finn thought of the possibility . The man . Candy ? Was leaving in their house for free
Finn thought about this room and he remembered from the show this was where that huge blue gauntlet was supposed to be and from his own memories it was clearly not there yet . An adventure just waiting to be taken . What was there though was a small bomb and a small golden gauntlet
' Boom Boom ' He could already hear the music in his ears .
Their was also the kitchen witch had a variety off appliances such as a stove as well as a cooler a long brown couch and a little table . The kitchen was then connected to two other rooms being the first living room and the bathroom .
The first living room having a long red round couch , a table and a ripped painting of a woman .The first living room was connected to the treasure room through one of the many ladders and was located in the canopy of the tree fort . While the bathroom consisted of a bathtub , shower , a mirror and a toilet with an animal skin acting as a doorway
Their was the attic which would store some of their junk they had placed their and at some point Leo thought he could turn it into a sort of lab with how isolated it was from the tree fort , and the boat which acted as a look out which they would use to sometimes relax in the sun , go stargazing , be lazy or for it's real purpose . To spot enemies .
Also , the tree fort had a built in cave in its back side where their tools are kept as well as machine parts and equipment's that require maintenance . Finn though it could also be used as a sort of garage . He wondered if it was big enough to store a vehicle
Their was the bedroom , which was at the top most room of the tree fort right above the first living room and easily accessed by ladder made of planks nailed into the tree fort . Here their was mainly his bed consisting of a sleeping bag on top of many pelts of various monsters and animals and Jakes bed in an open drawer of a cabinet . There was also other items in the bedroom such as Jake's viola , a book shelf and a picture of a ninja .
And the final place in the tree house the first living room which Finn was now sited in on a very comfortable purple couch . His head rested very gently in it's pillows in a warm hug .
Looking around , there was a large monster skin rug , a phonograph in the corner , a wood burning stove with a pile of kindling next to it and a clock on the wall that said ; ' Finn and Jake Timeless ' . It was a very comfy place to be .
Finn was sure there were certain things in the house the old him had either completely ignored or simply did not care about and he would make sure to go over everything once again . Because despite having the memories of the entirely of the tree fort , even he felt confused with the house itself .
' Was their something he was forgetting ' Finn felt as if that was so . fact that was on the tip of his tongue but still fading . Was it important ? It couldn't be if he did not remember it so he left the thought be . Perhaps he could remember another day . He was sure it would come to him suddenly when he least expected it
For now , he just wanted to relax as he planned about future scenarios and thing he thought he would need to have or get . Like that crystal apple. The ability to open portals , create crystal beings and a connection to the crystal dimension would be interesting to have . Or maybe those glasses that made someone supper smart . If the original Finn was able to make a black hole machine , weren't those glasses to overpowered .
Leo was intelligent in his old life but even he did not think he could create a stable black hole reasons being , he was sure it would turn out badly and two , the technology of the time would not allow him to do so . It was more likely he would have blown up the earth than make one . And that only made him want those glasses even more !
Jake after seeing he was okay where he was sited had set on to take his viola to play him a song . Something about music making every thing better and Finn could only listen on as he played . Not the best music he had ever heard but sufficient enough for someone who was self taught . He could tell , Finn had seen Jake teach himself how to play and he found that quite impressive . Not everyone could learn an instrument just because they wanted to . It needed both talent and dedication in the least .
Finn was also a little good at handling instrument but it was not his major focus for now , maybe they could forma band later ! That could also be another interesting past time hobby .
Finn slightly shook his head trying to refocus . He had noticed that his attention span had decreased since recently as he was being distracted by almost everything that was mildly interesting . Maybe this younger body was starting to affect him but no matter , it was a problem only time could fix .
Finn also needed to make sure he recreated a proper lab for himself . With all the machine parts lying around it was very possible . Or maybe he could borrow Bonnibell's lab , but would she trust him with it ? . Or more specifically , could he even make use of a candy lab ! He doubted .
He also needed to learn magic . It could prove to be useful or even life saving and he also needed to acquire both the demon blood sword and grass sword , they were two of his most long lasting weapons .
And he also needed to train in both Haki and learning about the Ninja !
" Huhh " Their was a lot to do , too much even . But Finn was not one to worry , he had a lot of time as he had noticed he had arrived earlier than when the cannon started . This could only mean he had time to do all this things and also to train himself to be the best .
Canon Finn had a lot of potential but simply lacked training to back it up with . But the current him was different , He knew the future and the possible chaos if he failed to be stronger and that was not something he could have .
This was his adventure after all !

A/N : An introduction to the tree house from pervious Finn's memories . but their are still secrets to be uncovered .
Like for real , organizing the tree house is really a hard job . Especially where all the rooms are supposed to be . This was literally the hardest shit I've done .
But this chapter was a sort of filler and a bunch of explanations . future chapters will not have this much talk about every room at once .
