Chapter 4: You Must Be a Goddess, Right
Eros leisurely walked through the forest at the center of the island, holding his staff.
The climate here was mild, like spring all year round, with lush vegetation covering the island.
The morning sunlight filtered through the trees, and the mist condensed into dewdrops.
Doe's silhouette leaped among the shadows of the trees, and the sound of the rushing stream was like a nymph playing the harp softly.
Eros had been able to live here for so many years for a reason. It was like a perfect paradise, with no flaws in scenery, climate, or resources.
As he waded through the stream, Eros casually pierced a trout jumping out of the water with his staff. "Hmm, let's roast this and pair it with the berries I picked from the bushes earlier for a meal."
On the shore, Eros skillfully prepared the trout. Just as he was about to strike a flint to start a fire, he suddenly remembered something. Snap! He snapped his fingers, and a small burst of electricity sparked, igniting the flame instantly.
Almost forgot, he wasn't just an ordinary person anymore. Who needs flint when you have powers?
"I didn't expect Father Zeus to be willing to share her power with you. It seems he really likes you."
A voice of admiration sounded nearby, and a figure appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
Golden hair shone brightly in the sunlight, and even the eyelashes and pupils were a light golden color. Though she wore only a laurel-woven flower crown, there was an elegant nobility about her.
"Nice to meet you. You're indeed as Father Zeus described, even more handsome than a god."
With a slightly heroic face showing a hint of amazement, the unnamed goddess calmly gazed at Eros, showing no signs of shyness.
Initially startled by the voice, Eros quickly regained his composure when he turned around. This goddess was also tapping into his XP!
In fact, Eros had reflected on himself last night. It wasn't his fault that Zeus's changing appearance annoyed him so much. It was just because he hadn't had much contact with women for so long.
After a brief reflection, Eros concluded that this goddess was quite nice. Elegant, intelligent, and seemingly with a good personality.
"What's your name?" Eros smiled kindly.
In the face of the warm smile from Eros, the beautiful goddess blushed unconsciously.
No wonder Father Zeus would change his mind and be interested in men. This feeling was just as good as Aphrodite's, if not better.
"My name is Phoebus Apollo. You can just call me Apollo."
"May I call you Eros?" She smiled back at him.
Eros' smile froze on his face. Why did it have to be Apollo again?!
Was the "small circle" the system mentioned the gossips circulating among the Olympians?
And why did they all like to transform into effeminate figures? Are they all zeroes?
Eros quietly adjusted to a more secure posture, wearing a smile that was both awkward and polite on his face.
"It turns out to be Lord Apollo, the god of light. I've heard of you."
If Zeus had only one male lover in his legend, Apollo was entirely different. He was the social butterfly among the Olympian male gods, admired by countless goddesses, and with countless male lovers.
It seemed that cross-dressing was prevalent in ancient Greece, even Hercules was the same.
Eros was frustrated. Was he destined to clash with goddesses?
"Are you not happy about my arrival, Eros?"
Apollo felt very puzzled by Eros' subtle alienation.
How much did he hate himself to show such direct aversion?
Although the two were in the same camp, Apollo thought there would be many common topics between them.
"I'm not, it's just that I'm not very good at socializing with people."
Eros casually found an excuse to evade the issue, and Apollo believed him without any resentment.
"Is that so? Well, then there's nothing I can do."
"But I'm here to help you, so rest assured."
