Chapitre 6: chapter 6 : To the South
Three days later, Jon on his large black horse with blue eyes called "Shadow" left for the Southern territories with Yoren the veteran recruiter and their respective men.
Long before leaving, Jon had mutated the game of the forests close to the south of the wall into the territory of Gift and New Gift for his future plans.
He had even migrated small works of mutant deer and moose so that they could reproduce quickly.
Yoren led the small band and wagons unhurriedly for days of travel until they reached Winterfell.
"I thought I wouldn't have to come back to this place for at least more than a year and 4 months only." Jon said a little reluctantly while holding the saddle from his mount at the front alongside Yoren.
Yoren: Do you really hate this place?
Jon: Not The place, my memories with some people who tried to get rid of me while I was crippled by illness.
Yoren: Your uncle Benjen told me about it. You'll certainly hold a grudge against them all your life.
Jon: If I had a grudge then they would all be dead before I came to the Wall. It's just that I don't want anything to do with them in a familiar way anymore. I am a sworn brother and I only have my first name left, only the Lord Commander can still name me "Snow".
"Kid, I'm really looking forward to seeing you interact with Lord Stark and his family now ahahahah" Yoren said with amusement before passing some wine to Jon as they continued on their way.
They first arrived in Winter Town where Jon looked around to notice if anything had changed but it hadn't, everything was the same and even though he had aged a little to match his 15 years, a lot recognized him.
Arriving at Winterfell, the guards recognized Yoren but especially Jon so they went to warn their lords of the presence of the Night's Watch and after a little patience, Lord Stark granted them an audience.
The men remained waiting outside when Yoren and Jon were received into the courtroom where Lord Eddard Stark greeted them and his family seated behind the large table.
"We thank you for welcoming us, Lord Stark. » Yoren said before bowing slightly as did Jon.
Ned: The Night's Watch continually protects the kingdom, you will always be privileged guests at Winterfell as long as a Stark remains here. (To Jon) I am very happy to see you again son, your uncle sent me several crows to inform me of your exploits in the guard. To be the best fighter in the order and elevated to the rank of captain at just 15 years old is an extraordinary thing.
Jon: I did my best to serve my family, Lord Stark.
Ned: You also have a family here Jon.
Jon: I doubt it, the term bastard wasn't created for nothing but that's good, I'm happy where I am.

Yoren: We have had a long journey from the Wall and we would like your hospitality for the next three days Lord Stark.
Ned: Of course, you're welcome. Are you recruiting?
Jon: That's right Lord Stark, the Watch would also like to ask for an additional favor.
Ned: I'm listening.
Jon: We are heading south and on the way back, Winterfell will certainly be our last major rest stop before returning to the Wall. During our months of absence, we hope that Lord Stark will solicit the other houses of the North to gather volunteers to join the Watch, volunteers who we will harvest directly upon our return.
Ned: We owe a lot to the night's watch, I will inform the other houses about this recruitment and the idea is excellent.
Jon: The Watch is grateful to you.
Yoren: Yes, we thank you Lord Stark.
Ned: Apartments will be made available in the garrisons for you and your men. (to Jon) If you want, you can occupy your old room outside during your stopover.
Jon: I thank you Lord Stark but I prefer to stay with my brothers.
They left and were shown their rooms. Later, the brothers of the guard were cleaning their equipment while Jon was filing his sword with a stone, he did it very often and thanks to that, his sword cut very cleanly.
"JON" He heard someone call him and saw Arya running towards him with Bran and Robb walking behind with Theon. The two youngest rushed to him and he took them in his arms.
Arya: I missed you so much.
Jon: I missed you a lot too, little wolf. (to Bran) You've grown a lot, you're 8 years old now and Ser Rodrik should have started your training.
Bran: Jory does it but I'm not very good at it.
Jon: You're just still young.
Arya: Above all, he's very bad! I have a lot more talent and I do very well with the bow too.
Jon: Who teaches you?
Arya: I started alone but Robb and Theon helped me because it was too dangerous according to them. Jon…why did you leave?
Jon: I didn't feel at home here, I needed to find my place somewhere.

"You look healthy, we missed you here" Robb said trying to smile slightly.

Jon: I am a sworn brother of the Night's Watch and I no longer go by the name Snow. What do you want ?

Jon: I understand, that's why I preferred to leave.

" Never !" Jon said in a calm and cold tone before leaving there putting away his sword.
He went to Winter Town in more black clothes heading to the brothel where he was once again recognized by the crowd and two prostitutes, they were Ros and Lupys who left their flirting clients to come to Jon while running.
The two abandoned men got up intending to make a commotion because of the two prostitutes but Jon threw a gold coin at each of them to calm them down.
Ros: Young lord! We really missed you.
Lupys: You've grown up a lot and your longer hair gives you incredible charm.
"Take me to a spare room ladies…" He said and they took him to one of their rooms where he fucked them for a long time giving them several orgasms.
Jon's oath prevented him from one day marrying or having a child but not from kissing and he understood that for a long time even if for some unknown reason it was frowned upon.
As agreed, they spent exactly three days there before leaving. Jon chatted with Ned Stark from time to time but he avoided personal topics and Ned even spoke very vaguely about his mother describing her but for Jon it really didn't matter much anymore.
Yoren and Jon continued on king's road via Moat Cailin and they passed the Neck then the twins in return for a round trip payment made by Jon to Walder Frey.
They continued together for a while and separated before King's landing because to Yoren's astonishment, Jon was going to begin his recruitment in Dorne.
The veteran obviously tried to dissuade him but Jon insisted before leaving with his 9 men. Jeor asked his head captain to leave with Yoren but there was never any question of being under his command.
