Chapitre 106: Ch.105 Travelling with the Trio
Hearing Ryuu's question they looked at each other trying to communicate with their eyes, finally after a while of silence Kaval spoke up.
"Well, you see we are a C-rank adventurer party that can defeat a B-rank monster. Thus we wanted to be promoted to B rank so we took a quest around here which will help us with our promotion." Kaval said as he looked at Ryuu.
"I see, then if I am not stepping over my boundaries by asking this but can you tell me the quest you took? After all promotion quests are quite rare." Ryuu asked after Kaval's words.
"Well...." Kaval muttered unable to give an answer as he scratched his head.
"You can tell him Kaval Dono, after all, he saved our lives, plus it's not like the quest was confidential anyway." Elyan pitched in the middle seeing Kaval's troubled face.
"Well, if you don't want to there is no need for you to tell me. After all, I am not trying to force you." Ryuu said seeing their faces.
"No it's ok, you must be worried for us. After all low-ranking adventurers do lose their life by taking very difficult tasks." Kaval said as he gave a small smile to Ryuu.
"Well, you don't have to worry about us. We know our limits quite well, so anyway, we were just given a supporter role in the coming monster hunt organized by a party near the Dragons Lair. After all the magicule released from the dungeon has created quite strong monsters in the surrounding." Kaval gave a brief summary of the quest they had taken.
"I see, still do be careful there. Speaking about the Dragons lair, I am also traveling there so do you guys wanna travel together." Ryuu asked after hearing Kaval's words.
Well Ryuu wanted to travel with them for two reasons, one it would be nice to have some fun company, and two he was quite worried about them. After all, they are, well quite clumsy.
As for their safety near the dungeon, he wasn't really worried about it, after all with their current strength as long as they don't enter the dungeon they should be fine.
Kaval's strength should be on par with an A-rank adventurer, with Gido being a little weaker then him. As for Elyan, she was only on par with a B rank, but that should be more than enough strength to keep her safe. Plus she has an item with her that will send a signal toward a certain person in Sarrion whenever she is in danger and also envelop her in a barrier.
"Really Ryuu san, so are you also part of the monster hunt party," Elyan asked hearing his words.
"Well, I am not part of that party and I have other goals for going there." Ryuu truthfully replied to Elyan's question as there was no reason to hide it.
"Oh..." Eylan muttered as her voice got down a little.
"Hmm, then what are you going there for," Kaval asked hearing Ryuu's reply.
"Well for dungeon diving," Ryuu replied in a normal voice as if the things he said weren't a big deal for most people.
"WHAT, DUNGEON DIVING!!!!!!" All three of them shouted hearing his reply.
Their expression was that of shock and they were looking at Ryuu as if he was an idiot.
"Ryuu san you should rethink your decision. After all, even if you are strong many A+ rank adventurers party has met their end there." Kaval quickly said as he held Ryuu's shoulder and tried to reason with him.
"Yes, Kava Dono is right Ryuu san you should rethink it." Elyan also added as she looked deeply at Ryuu's masked face.
"You shouldn't harbor such suicidal thoughts Ryuu san. Think about the people that care for you. What do you think will happen to them if something happened to you." Gido said as he tried his best to make Ryuu come to his 'senses'.
"Please calm down you three," Ryuu said in a calm voice and tried to calm them down.
After saying that a few more times, they finally calmed down and stopped to hear what Ryuu had to say for himself.
"You guys don't have to worry about me as I know my limits. Even when doing the dungeon diving I will only go as deep as I think is safe. 'Well all of the dungeon'" Ryuu said as he looked at them, of course, the second part was only in his thoughts.
"But....." They wanted to protest but suddenly Ryuu released a little bit of his Aura and all of them sensed it. A shocked look appeared on their face as their backs became sweaty, with just that aura they could see that Ryuu was strong.
Very strong, in fact, he was the strongest person they had met in their life.
"So does this ease your worry," Ryuu spoke gently as he looked at their surprised face.
"Ah, yes..it does.. but please still be careful." Kaval spoke as he broke out of his stupor and looked at Ryuu. He was trying to look composed and even gave a decent act.
'Fun' Ryuu thought to himself as he looked at them. It was quite entertaining to do such things once in a while.
[Childish] True Sage remarked as she looked at Ryuu's behavior.
'Well, it's not bad to have some childish fun once in a while.' Ryuu replied to True Sage's remark.
[If you say so master.] True Sage said as she heard Ryuu's answer.
She knows almost everything about her master, his behavior, his childishness, his vulnerabilities, every single bad and good thing about him. And she Lo...lo....v....e.... everything about him.
[Why haven't you still talked about me getting emotions Master? Why are you still trying to push it to the future? Hump!] True Sage complained though in a way Ryuu wouldn't hear.
She had already started to get emotions more than a year ago and it was developing slowly but steadily. But it suddenly made rapid progress some week ago as she got some time to herself as Ryuu was wandering around and she was able to look at the record of the past events that had happened.
She did it mostly to make plans for the future but during that, repeating the incident with Shizu as if gaining enlightenment she got a complete grasp of her emotions.
At that point, she could have developed into a manus core, if she hadn't stopped herself. After all, if she evolves it will help in the short term but will just be a hinder in the long term.
Anyway, she hasn't talked to Ryuu about gaining full emotions as she wants Ryuu to bring that topic out. She has been giving hints but he is ignoring them, even knowing full well about her emotions.
