Chapitre 37: 37- Dungeon Once More
Noah woke up early in the morning. He went outside the base, everyone was still sleeping, so he decided to take a walk in the forest around the base for an hour, just to get some fresh air. After that Noah went to the kitchen, Charmy was there, she was making herself food. "A snack before breakfast" she called it. Noah just ate with her, the so called snack was more like a feast.
After eating he went and took a quick shower. He put on his clothes and walked downstairs again. This time the Asta and Noelle were awake. Noelle was training in front of the base, while Asta was cleaning the corridors of the base.
Saying his goodbyes to them, Noah jumped on a black eagle and flew towards the mage HQ.
Getting the mage HQ, Noah went to a specific meeting room. Once he walked inside he saw four people. The first person he saw was a woman with long, wavy, brown hair and green eyes. She was wearing the blue rose knights robes. Then he saw a man with medium-length, dark purple hair with reddish tips, with purple eyes, he was wearing the purple orcas robe. The third person was a girl with a voluptuous build. She has yellow eyes and long wavy vermilion hair with bangs on her forehead, he had the golden dawn robes on. The last person was a a young man with long side-parted hair that is tied back and has a braid going across his hairline and a thin band around his head, he was wearing the coral peacocks.
"Oh Noah, I knew that you would be coming. But's its such an ugly thing to be late. UH~" - Kirsch was the first to see Noah.
"Nice to see you too Kirsch" - Noah deadpanned
"Don't bother with him Noah. Anyway I'm excited to go explore a dungeon with you today" - The girl with a voluptuous build, Mimosa, said as she pushed Kirsch out of the way.
"It's always nice to see Mimosa" - Noah smiled at her
"Ah! Let me introduce you to our teammates. The one from the blue rose knights is Selena. The one in the purple orcas is Digit" - Mimosa
"Nice to meet all of you. My name is Noah Silva, as you can tell I'm from the black bulls" - Noah
"Nice to meet ya" - Selena said in a cheerful voice
"U-um, hi" - Digit on the other hand was nervous
"Alright, so I guess we wait till the captain of this mission is here" - Noah
"Actually. I'm the one leading this mission" - Kirsch
"What! Are you even qualified to lead a team?" - Noah
"Yes. I am the vice captain of the coral peacocks after all" - Kirsch
'Oh this is going to be a shit mission' - Noah couldn't help but shake his head
[Noah] - Draco suddenly called
[What's up] - Noah
[I don't want to work with this man] - Draco
[Why?] - Noah
[He sounds too much like my sister] - Noah
[How so?] - Noah
[This whole perfect and beautiful thing. My sister used to say similar things] - Draco
[Sorry Draco, but we have to work with him. Just do like his sister said, ignore him] - Noah
The team went over the mission details. The dungeon they found is near the boarder of the Clover and Heart kingdoms. The first to notice the dungeon were the heart kingdom soldiers. Even though the clover kingdom have noticed it inly a day after the heart kingdom did, it was decided that the heart kingdom gets to go in first.
Luckily for the clover kingdom they have a very good relationship with the clover kingdom, so they agreed to explore the dungeon in the order it was found in, the Heart kingdom mages first, the Cover mages after.
Next the team went on to discuss protocol. If they run into the Heart kingdom they are to not attack, peacefully pass by. We were told that the Heart kingdom mages have the same instructions.
'In the show the Heart kingdom were good. They even helped some of the clover kingdom mages, and even captains, to get stronger. But I have to keep my guard up regardless'
After that they decided to go over the plan for exploring. The dungeon belongs to some very powerful mage. It was said that the mage was incredibly powerful to an unprecedented degree.
Noah was very interested when he head that. The show barely explores the history of the continent. The only historical even he knows is the elf shenanigan and the devil behind the whole thing. Other than that, the show only mentions the first wizard king but no one else, except for Julius. Noah had read about some of the wizard kings and their achievements, but even then that had barely scratched the surface of this continent's history.
So when he heard that they are going to explore the dungeon left behind by one of the strongest mages long before the first wizard king was even a thing, Noah got excited. He really hoped that he can find a library left behind by that mage. Regardless if it was books about history, or some powerful technique, Noah saw that either way is a win. He still remembers a certain book he found in the library of the elder lich, so Noah was very optimistic.
Noah and the team had finished going over the details, they decided to head out, since the Heart kingdom mages had probably just entered the dungeon.
Noah decided to speed their travel time a bit, so he made a jet black eagle and had the others board on top. Once they were all on top the black eagle, Noah ordered to travel straight to the dungeon location.
Once they arrived at the location of the dungeon, the team noticed a man standing at the entrance of the dungeon.
"Hello there, I take it you're the team from the Clover kingdom" - The dark skinned man greeted
"Hello, my name is Kirsch Vermillion, I'm the one leading this team today" - Kirsch
"Oh royalty, my apologies, my name is Henry Godfrey. I'm one of the mages of the Heart kingdom" - Henry
"Alright, so what can we help you with Henry" - It was Selena who asked this time
"Well, we have a deal that we get to go in first. I'm just here to tell you how long we've been in there. So that a mix up doesn't happen" - Henry smiled.
"No need for you to worry, we know what time the Heart kingdom entered and what time we're supposed to enter" - Noah didn't like what that man was saying, so he decided to jump in instead of Kirsch
"Well, you see we just entered 10 minutes ago, and according to the deal, that means you have to wait 50 more minutes before you can go" - Henry
"That makes no sense. You guys were supposed to have entered 50 minutes ago, and we were supposed to enter in the next 10 minutes" - Noah
"That is true, but you see we got delayed" - Henry
"Then why did you not send us a letter explaining your delay" - Noah
"Ah! We did, maybe you weren't told?" - Henry tilted his head slightly in a questioning look
'Even if Julius is running around and not in his office, Marx is there. Any letters received get read by Marx first anyway. So if we received a letter with the delay, Marx would've just informed us'
"I guess we wait, until the 50 minutes are up" - Kirsch
"I appreciate your understanding lord Kirsch" - Henry
The team of mages turned around and started walking away to a near by spot where they will sit down and wait.
[Noah, that guy just lied] - Draco's voice sounded in Noah's head
[How do you know that] - Noah
[When he was talking his mana was flickering around. This is a sign that he is lying] - Draco
[You can tell when people are lying?] - Noah
[Not really. It's just if I'm close to someone, and they have terrible mana control, I can read the flow of their mana slightly, that's all] - Draco
[I see. Well now we have to come up with a way to deal with this issue here] - Noah said as he looked back at the entrance of the dungeon.
