Chapter 9: Human-Homunculi Hybrid

~Albus POV~

Taking a break from the whole process as well as cleaned all the blood off my clothes…

Good god, that's a lot.

Did I really have to bleed that much out?

Meh.

Cleaning up the blood and destroying the human transmutation circle I looked around I kept looking at my eye with amazement seeing the process of doing it from the reflection of the lake as I couldn't help myself.

This is clearly the Ultimate Eye that Bradley had that's for sure and amazing eye perception.

Seriously the range of my sights increased dramatically with this.

It's official now.

Yup, I'm now a human-based homunculus now.

Hmm…

I wonder if I can still use alchemy though?

One way to find out.

Making another basic transmutation circle on the dirt I tapped it again as I see the familiar glowing light create again.

*Zzz*

Seeing that I can use my Gate means I can still use my alchemy despite the change from human to hybrid Homunculi.

Hmm…

It is quite strange I can use my alchemy despite the changes of becoming part homunculus maybe it was because I was originally able to use the Gate in the first place and I'm simply using the Philosopher stone?

It is a well know fact that homunculus can't use alchemy due to the fact that they have no souls of their own and therefore no gate of truth to use alchemy.

That said, one's gotta wonder if this also applies to the human-based homunculus, who do in fact have their own souls and therefore should have a gate of truth.

At the end of the day, the difference between a human alchemist utilizing the power of a philosopher's stone and a human-based homunculus who simply has the philosopher's stone in his bloodstream is mostly semantics.

Sure, when you get a philosopher's stone injected into your bloodstream, you suffer immense pain and run the risk of death at the cost of gaining some unique homunculus power, but you're still a human utilizing the power of a philosopher's stone, whether internally or externally.

I suspect that Fuhrer King Bradly can't use alchemy, as he only possesses one soul within his being, as stated by himself the most wrathful one, meaning that likely it's not his own and therefore does not possess a gate of truth like the rest of the homunculus kind.

Likewise, you could make the argument that Van Hohenheim himself is a human-based homunculus, in that he was once a human, contains a philosopher's stone within his being, and has shown to still be able to use alchemy.

Meh.

It's all speculation really when one gets down to it but at least I might have to be careful from this point forward.

Homunculi are physically superior to humans in every way. Their bodies are faster, stronger, and far more resilient than normal human bodies.

They do not age in most cases, are immune to all sicknesses and poisons, and can heal from any injury-even those resulting in death-as long as the energy from the red stones they consume is not depleted.

Examples are severed limbs and even heads growing back in a matter of seconds.

But in my case, though I don't get my body stronger or at least I don't I have gotten stronger even consuming souls into my very own one.

In fact, I don't get that many perks being a human-based homunculus except for the fact I get a supernatural power if I survive and my soul being the only one means I have the same disadvantage as Bradley once had.

Being a human-based Homunculus, Wrath has the ability to physically age, which enabled him to pass off as an average human, allowing him to assimilate into the general population without suspicion.

Despite being a Homunculus, Wrath's unique creation has resulted in the fact that the Philosopher's Stone which makes him inhuman is comprised of only one soul - his augmented physical abilities such as his remarkably high strength, speed, and agility are all his own, rather than being a product of the stone.

So, no power up physically for me but I do get longer-lasting life though which is good enough.

However, due to the fact that his Philosopher's stone contains only one soul, he does not have the immortality and regenerative abilities of his monstrous brethren.

I only gain the eye power-up though.

And it's fucking busted as hell in a fight and for me, it will prove hell of useful for me.

The Ultimate Eye…

Hell, even the name sounds badass to have.

The Ultimate Eye grants me an extra-sensory vision of my general surroundings, the Eye's true ability is precognition, allowing Wrath to perfectly and efficiently anticipate all variables and his opponent's attacks and take action with absolute efficiency without any effort.

He can adapt perfectly to all factors achieving maximum efficiency in offensive and defensive strategy, ensuring optimal results as long as there is the slightest chance and depending on the means at his disposal.

All it takes is one simple glance that will detect the opponent's or obstacle's nature, strengths, weaknesses, etc.

Hence the ultimate bullshit cheats to know your opponent knowing everything about them than themselves.

I wonder with that great amount of perception I may be likely able to copy down fighting styles and natures of people if my Ultimate Eye can do that much on a glance?

Hmm…

Maybe I should watch some of the previous Mistral Tournament fights for me to see if I can find anything worthwhile if it's possible of course.

Oh, I can surely see the possibility happening.

But that may be stretching it with the Ultimate Eye abilities still could work.

Still, the power of precognition is good power to have especially how Bradley used it.

Users can foresee possible futures and observe what may happen.

As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.

However, the weakness for me with the Ultimate Eye is the matter of my personal strength and I can be blinded sided with surprise attacks.

Still handy to have on hand.

Physically power wise I haven't increased much but versatility has been going well.

Cursed Restoration, Mana, Alchemy, and now the Precognition in the form of my Ultimate Eye.

Have to say pretty handy skills given so far.

Although the last one required human sacrifices it was something I needed to get a boost in considering the situation.

Wonder how people will take my eye now shaped like the Ouroboros Tattoo now?

The Ouroboros is a mystical symbol representing a dragon devouring its own tail. It represents the eternal cycle of life and death or wholeness and infinity.

The circular affinity suggests the eternal cycle of life and death that happens to each.

The head of the dragon represents the beginning of life, while the tail as it is being bitten represents the end of life, the circular motion shows the perpetual cycle of life and death as the dragon consumes its tail.

Faunus maybe?

Eh… questions for later.

Hmm…

You know everything in RWBY does have a family symbol on them and with my eye having the Ouroboros Tattoo on my eye might as well make it official having it be my family emblem like Ruby rose symbol, Weiss snowflake, Yang fire I think…

Yeah.

That and it's plain cool to have honestly.

Clearing up I began to return to train my body again with getting my eyes adjusted again with the new Ultimate Eye enhances sights.

However, …

I can feel a change of my Od or is it my Gate as I feel more… space? Room? Increase?

Increase.

Yeah, an increase of my Od or soul usage seems to have happened is it when I ate the Philosopher Stone.

Maybe more like reinforced it perhaps?

Hmm…

That actually begs another question now?

If I ate the stone and managed to absorb the four souls of those bandits into my own would that increase my Aura pool when I have the chance to unlock it or would it be impossible if I outgrew it?

Oh…

That actually sounds very concerning actually if I can't open my Aura in RWBY because of me eating the stone.

Sigh…

Well, whatever the increase was I welcome it with open arms regardless.

Thank god for refills using Cursed Restoration.

Hmm…

Maybe I should have a chimera transformation as well.

What would it be anyway if given the chance?

I mean having literal powers of animals would be pretty cool to have maybe something fearless would do?

Maybe a Ratel would be a cool Chimera Transformation to have from Killing Bites as I could easily enter the Faunus White Fang community.

Then again, I would need to find one first and master Life Alchemy to do that.

*Grumble*

Shaking my head though and listening to my stomach in embarrassment I need to get some food in me first.

The Lien I got from the guy should do and the revolver pistol I have would be good to have around.

Shame I can't take the melee weapons though otherwise, the village that these supremacist guys were living in would be suspicious of me in the process.

Hiding the guns in my pocket though or claiming they are my own would work well enough since there is no ownership on it or family sign so the coast is clear on that front.

Now then its been awhile since I got a good meal to to see what this village is about.
