The members of the Court of Nightfall have no choice but to accept their High Lord's decision. After meeting his subjects, Lord Kieran went to his study and discussed the next course of plans with his courtiers. Aiden had already delivered his initial report on his investigation and they knew by now that it was Cal, who had allowed Queen Heloise to enter the private gardens in the castle.

"Do you have a good reason to defend yourself, Cal?" Lord Kieran eyed his right-hand man.

While there was no doubt that Cal was a capable subordinate, his prejudice against Iris had cost him to lose his lord's trust completely.
