Chapitre 299: 299. Soon to be
2 months passed since Ben did that job and he hasn't taken any job since then. He is focused on learning the 7 Books of Zeref that he found. They are valuable information sources about Curse and Etherious Demons, so he learns them thoroughly.
From these books, Ben finds out that the Curse that the Etherious Demons used originated from The Curse of Ankhseram that Zeref got. Zeref must've learned that Curse in order to break it and ended up creating these demons that have the purpose to kill him.
"Kill him my ass, they are worshipping him instead. I'm sure they will follow his order instead of killing him. He also looked like a guy with a personality problem when I saw him on Tenrou Island," comments Ben while trying a few things he found in the Books.
The Books of Zeref contain details about the Etherious demons he created in those books. Ben & AI Chip have learned the books thoroughly to the point where Ben has the confidence to create his own Etherious Demons.
Combined with the Arc of Embodiment, creating Etherious will be easy for Ben. But he will never do that if it's not truly needed. He doesn't have any need for them and he doesn't want to be the next Zeref.
His only goal for learning these books is the Curse power. If he knows more about Curse, then he can improve his Sun Devil Slayer Magic that has Curse power integrated with it. Midas the Sun Demon used that to fight Escanor the Sun Dragon, so he should be able to use it against Acnologia.
"We always need more cards to be used. That applies to me and the others. AI Chip, how's the progress on the others' Magic improvement?" asks Ben.
Ben & AI Chip are researching the methods to improve Fairy Tail Mages' abilities. They use all the data they've collected to improve training methods, magic & spell development, etc. There are a lot of Mages in their guild, so it takes quite a long time to finish.
[The progress for your family members is good because they are the priority. As for other Fairy Tail members, only a few have a high possibility of getting good results using our research's results. The others are predicted to have low results. One family member is also predicted to get lower results unless he receives personal guidance.]
"Reason?" asks Ben.
[Intelligence and interest in learning from books.]
Ben's face darkened because he knows the ones that AI Chip means. "So the idiots, huh? Let me guess. Elfman, Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, and most of the boys."
[Correct.]
"Sigh, I can train Elfman, but I don't have time to train everyone. Just find the best training method for them and I'll tell them. For the others who are willing to learn from research, then we will print books for them. Luckily, there is magic to make it easier. I will not do it if I need to type every letter using a computer," says Ben.
[There is no computer in this world.]
"....No shit, Sherlock," says Ben before starting his training.
The next month, AI Chip finishes all the research, and Ben prints all of the results into books. The books aren't made for each person, they are categorized by Magic. So the books will be kept in the guild's library and everyone will have access to them.
Ben can make each book for each person, but he doesn't do it because personalized stuff can't be passed down to the next generation or be used by others. If the Mages want personal tips, then they need to ask Ben which he'll gladly explain.
Besides, he just wants to provide ways for his friends to improve. They need to think and do it themselves without him telling them to do it. He won't teach anyone who doesn't want to improve themselves, it's just a waste of time.
As planned, Ben registers all the books in the guild's library. There are so many of them that the guild needs to expand its library. Everyone is dumbfounded by the number of books that Ben 'wrote' himself.
Then just as he predicted, many of them try to read the books, but not all of them have the patience to truly read the books, especially the boys. Steams just come out of their heads before they can even finish a paragraph. That's just how bad they are at reading.
Some of them then decide to ask their smarter friends to help them while some ask Ben directly. He doesn't have time to take care of every one of them so he makes clones to help them. Ben does the same for Elfman, after all, only his sisters can get taught directly by him now.
For the next few months, Ben focuses on taking care of Mira. Other than that, he works on his & his family's training. He only takes jobs every once in a while to release his stress and gives experience to his siblings.
There's no big problem so far, only Ben making big deals out of everything regarding Mira's pregnancy. He forbids any idiot like Natsu, Gray, etc to get close to Mira. As for Elfman, he can get closer but not allowed to touch her belly at all.
Ben's reason is that he is worried that their idiocy might affect his baby. Those who cross the limit that Ben has set receive 'divine punishments' from him. He is just being overly overprotective of his pregnant wife.
Everyone in the guild thought that Juvia is the only one who went crazy because of love. Turns out that Ben gets even crazier than her when his wife gets pregnant. He was still calm at first, but as the pregnancy gets older, his calmness starts to disappear, and he becomes overprotective.
Mira has reprimanded him, but he never listened, so she just lets him do what he wants. He takes care of her very well, after all, and always makes her comfortable. Ben pampers her so much right now and she knows it won't last long, so she uses this chance to the fullest.
Her appetite grows a lot as her pregnancy gets older. She asks many kinds of foods that Ben had never heard of before. But he will search for it without asking any questions which make her ask for more and more.
There was one time when she said she wanted to eat a very rare fish. Ben immediately used all his connections to find one, but there was no fresh catch. So he went to the sea and searched for the fish himself.
He pulled every fish in the sea around him using his Gravity before he finally found 2 of the fish he wanted. The fishermen who helped him find the location were very dumbfounded when he released all the other fish because he didn't have any use for them.
As time passes, it's not just Mira's belly that gets bigger, but also her whole body. She doesn't look like someone with obesity, she just gets chubby, a normal thing during pregnancy. It doesn't matter though, for Ben, she is still the most beautiful woman in the world.
Porlyusica also says that she is healthy, so there's no problem at all. It's just that her belly gets bigger than normal. Ben knows the normal size from when Bisca was pregnant, but Mira's belly is bigger than that. He doesn't think much about it though because Porlyusica doesn't say anything about it, so it must be nothing.
Then, after 9 months of pregnancy, Mira finally will give birth. Ben is waiting outside the room with Elfman, Wendy, Bella, Carla, & others. Mira is inside the room in Porlyusica treehouse with the old woman, Lisanna, Lucy, & Levy who help her in her labor.
Ben is walking back & forth nervously with a very worried expression. He can't calm down at all, and this is why he needs to wait outside. The old woman initially allowed Ben to stay inside to support Mira, but he will just disturb the labor if he stays inside because of his nervousness.
Everyone tries to calm him down but he doesn't hear anything. So they give up and just give him a space to walk around. They are also quite nervous because labor is a hard task. So they hope it will work well, and minutes later, they hear a sound.
"OEE! OEE!"
Ben's ears finally work and he says, "MY BABY!"
