Synopsis
When High Paladin Sorin discovers the brutally dismembered body of his cousin Alfrey, a much loved priest in the royal palace, he is left baffled as to who would do so terrible a thing to so good a man. But to find the answer to that question, he must cooperate with one of the highly despised necromancers, men who practice black magic, sleep in graveyards and feed upon souls …
The necromancer Koray, however, is far from what he expected. He is beautiful, stubborn, and possessed of a tongue sharp enough to cut down even the High Paladin himself. Koray is also possessed of a strength like nothing Sorin has ever encountered, and the power of the Goddess herself.

This story is going straight to my top favorite. I loved the characters, the theme. Just perfect.
Megan Derr is one of the best LGBTQIA writers I know. Her world building is always fascinating and her characters are multidimensional and flawed which makes them feel so much more real. The stories are sometimes heart-wrenching but you can be reassured that she will give you a happy ending ♥️

My god, I don't think I've ever devoured a story so fast. I'm probably gonna reread this a lot, it's so good!Lots of amazing worldbuilding that is so smoothly done, you don't even realise it. Oftentimes worldbuilding is a clunky lore dump, but this story had me understanding the reality they live in naturally, and with it comes surprise when not everything is what it seems.Incredible plot twists, endearing characters, romantic love stories, and an ending so warm that it gave me peace. This is possibly my favorite read on webnovel ever! Do yourself a favor and read this story. I'll be looking out for more from this author, I can definitely see them getting published if they aren't already!
