-Abandoned Organization's Headquarters-
Azzie came at the wrong time. "I already told you guys that this place is now off-limits to you guys. Why did you come back now and spreading bad rumors at that." I swear, I'm not with them.
Angry to an extent, "Those are not rumors! The world deserves to know!" Pheel expressed how frustrated she is by yelling.
"Oh really? How can you say that to my face when the Organization's main purpose was to commit genocide? Now that you've lost your purpose, you are saying that you have a change of heart?" Genocide... I realized that what she is saying is true... letting people die for their purpose... How could I not realize that?
"You have no right to judge us! We have no choice but to follow orders as they promised that we can be saved. Now, all we wanted to do is to let people know that something is coming. They deserve to know." I do believe that the reason why they came here was to show people more evidence but with the technology now, everything can be edited. It's hard to say whether something is real or not and with an idea like the end of the world, I don't think that it would matter at all.
"And what would that accomplish? Telling people about something they can't control, it would only cause panic and commotion. It would stop us from saving more people." That alone made Pheel stopped. She knew what she's doing won't change anything.
"As you may know, we have limited resources and that means that we cannot save every single human being and... based on the players of NLO, ages 13-40 are the average." This...
"Is that the purpose of the gaming centers? This would also mean that children and elderlies won't be saved? Was that the order from my father?" There must be a way to save everyone!
"Yes to all. You must understand that with low resistance, they won't be able to survive." Even so...
"We're not Gods. We can't save everyone."
That hit me hard. I couldn't argue more. I realized that even with abilities like Pheel and Kinny, they won't be able to change anything. Even God himself is about to smite us with a reset button just like a game, wiping us all out. But...
Maybe there's another way or maybe what they're expecting won't have that much effect that could erase humanity. Maybe it was just an exaggeration... "Are you 100% sure that an unstoppable epidemic is coming? I mean, if that's what my father and the others talk about, won't we need more evidence than just a mere disappearance of a forest and angry giant rats?"
"Are we like 5 years old to you? Why would we even spend all of our resources planning something this big if we're not sure about it? This is why we don't tell you too much, because you're too stubborn. You put your nose where it doesn't belong. You never listen." All I could do is grit my teeth. I hate being me sometimes.
"So, are we done here? Get your as*es out or I'll really get mad."
...
-Aries Home-
So in the end, I didn't waste time. I learned something from what happened. Thankfully, they drove me home but...
"Why on earth are you guys here?" I am now infested by two people that used to be my enemies.
"Man, your fridge sucks. Nothing to eat here." Rummaging through my things... What the hell?
"Why can't you guys just go home? I am a busy person." I am seriously annoyed right now.
"We've got no home so thanks for the hospitality. And busy with what? I could say based on this place that you just wasted a year with doing nothing but eat and sleep. That's an admirable feat!" Annoying!
"I guess you're right considering two homeless people are here stealing my stuff. I could call a police officer to escort you out." I really should.
"How long could a police officer come here? Could he come here before we burn your place to the ground?" Ugh... such threats coming from someone who's scared of a giant rat.
"Aren't you guys have any other plans other than annoy me or the SOH?"
They have to leave or my peaceful days would end soon, now that our days are numbered. "Nothing really, I couldn't get a hold of the others after we got separated. I know Khanun is now with his half brother somewhere and he's not getting the best care after what he's done before. The other big girls are... well, they're big girls now so they must be doing what big girls do."
"I'm sure it's not rummaging through someone else's home."
"You got that, sassy pants." Ugh...
-Few days have passed-
It's been a few days now and they are here, still ruining my peaceful solitude.
"One new message." Hmmm? Who could it be this time?
"Yow! Scy! We're exploring the deeper part of the Volcano! I hope you're doing ok. We need you." Elou...
It's been a year since I stopped playing the game and without anyone. Oh man, what to do next?
*DOORBELL SOUNDS*
What is it this time?
I walked towards the door and-
It must be Pheel's food again... Where do they get all the money they use to buy stuff. "I told you, we're not ordering any..." Wait, what is this?
"I'm a courier from SOH. This is a card for you. This is the formal pass to enter the biggest gaming center for this whole country. Everyone is a must to gather there." How big is it to be called the biggest gaming center. They changed their name from SOS to Saviour of Humanity, after all, they already saved me.
"Not interested. I'm sure others might need it." Yes, others might really need it.
"This is a must, sir. You know why we're giving this to you, right?" Of course, I do...
"Fine if it means you can just leave me alone." He gave it to me and it looks like a keycard.
This keycard looks familiar. I just... don't remember it anymore. From a dream maybe?
"Thank you, have a nice day." I bid my farewell but I don't think I'm going.
"Was that my order? I would love a cinnamon roll right now!" How can they eat too much but don't gain weight at all...
"No, it's not. Seriously, when are you going to leave?!"
