In the current wizarding world state ye. Albus pretty much controlled and limited all magical knowledge to the younger generations making them lazy and weak. Magic has so much potential, not just as a weapon, but as a mean of creation. Ppl always like to think that creating mean taking things from those who are weaker, but with magicals, they can build something out of virtually nothing. If they were to stand united, and if they have the inquisitive mindset of the muggle pioneers. I doubt muggles can stand a chance since magic combined with science is a deadly thing

It just didn't make any sense. Harry was known in the entire school as a magical prodigy. His skill when it came to any kind of practical magic was far above OWL students – at least as far as they knew – and partnering with him was a guarantee of getting a perfect grade. Harry wouldn't accept anything less. But for some reason, no one even tried.

It would have honestly been better to not have involved Longbottom at all, but it was mostly done to cover most of his bases. The Parseltongue was useful, but the fact that Neville should be protected by the prophecy meant that he had an edge that Harry could use against Riddle. It was a bit cruel, but it worked. The idiot actually killed a fucking Basilisk, with a sword that appeared out of thin air.

Honestly, Harry wasn't that concerned about the fight with the King of Serpents anymore. The Colt, coupled with his Basilisk Glare resistant goggles, and his arcane hearing to warn him from any hidden danger, Harry thought that his chances at killing the beast were pretty good.

A perfect picture with Tom Riddle albeit with less charismatic. Riddle himself was a prodigy in almost every wizarding arts. He was so charismatic that he charmed/or forced the entire house of slytherin under his thumb despite being a half blood. Descended from the Gaunts he may be, Riddle’s father is a muggle, and although the Gaunts themself are once powerful pure blood family descended from Salazar himself, they were alrdy poor and broken by the time of riddle birth.
Still, the boy was the picture of the perfect student. He was respectful, diligent, and didn't break the rules, and now that she thought about it, he was never involved in any of the incidents between Gryffindor and Slytherin.
