its bad because you are making MC take unecessary risks by revealing his secret to catelyn and her uncle , now you ll be making unrealistic story if this reveal thing doesent bite him back especially since he could have kept his secret to himself and done his research secretly in citadel and he doesnt need bryndyl to protect himself

it would sad and too cliche if they knew about his mana core just because he was dumb enough to practice in open space or smth like that , and even if they somehow knew about it they should not have the ability to know platinum rank , i suggest him having a skill that hides trace of his mana at least from his father and his goons, training his body to the peak is also a good way to distract others from his mana core and to make op even without relying on his mana ,
