Capítulo 37: Winged Spiders
Inside a large office with a tan roof whose walls were covered with brown bookshelves filled with books was a woman with shoulder length black sleeky hair with rosy skin, dark almond eyes, straight eyebrows, a forward protruding slim nose bridge, curvy lips and well aligned jawline.
She was currently in a casual red gown that passed her curvy hips and a golden belt was strapped around her slim waist. She was sitting on a red grand chair with a transparent oval table before her and she appeared to be in her early thirties although one could see the vicissitude that her eyes and intense presence radiated.
Galactic General Meena
She was in charge of a galactic colony in the Central Cluster and such a title spoke about how powerful and experienced she was. Galactic colonies were formed by a group of galaxies which might contain dozens to hundreds or even thousands of galaxies and each colony was headed by a Galactic General and it was them, that Galactic Lords who were in charge of each galaxy reported to.
Before Galactic General Meena was the female examiner Luna, who sat on a brown armchair opposite Galactic General Meena and she maintained a polite gaze.
'' You said the first phase had been concluded on the planet you are overseeing right? '' She muttered in a sweet alluring voice almost in a playful tone.
'' Yes ma'am. '' Luna affirmed respectfully.
'' That's pretty quick compared to other planets, and to think those that passed will exceed our estimated statistics? '' She said quizzically.
'' Lady Kitasha intervened a couple of times, that was why the participants who passed exceeded the estimation ma'am. ''
'' Lady Kitasha eh? '' Galactic General Meena's eyes brightened up as she heard the familiar name. '' She had grown up that much eh? '' She hugged herself, clumping her big breasts, and her cheeks reddened.
Luna was astonished at her behaviour but she was her superior anyways, hence, she could only watch the bizarre scene unfold.
'' Ma'am. ''
'' Um? '' Meena put her thoughts together and squinted her eyes in Luna's direction with a questioning look.
'' Two boys with classified backgrounds actually completed the first phase in a very short time especially one of them with white haired, although Lady Kitasha was helping others…''
'' Oh, oh, those two. '' Meena's eyes brightened up again. '' Even I, do not have full access to their information, someone among the higher-ups seems to be blocking access to read their backgrounds. ''
Luna drew in a cold breath when she heard what her superior said, even someone that lorded over a Galactic colony didn't have access to their backgrounds, no wonder they performed so exceptionally, they must have a backer who must not be crossed at all costs, she reminded herself.
'' According to your report, the boy with white hair was lazying around yet, he hit the same record as the one set back in time? ''
'' Yes ma'am, it was as if… ''
'' I understand, continue with the second phase and make sure nothing happens to those seedlings, I've been hearing some strange things happening in the dark lately. '' Meena ordered sternly unlike her sweet alluring voice
'' Understood ma'am. '' Luna saluted respectfully.

Zeralf had waited for a day before Endra joined him and two days later Kitasha also joined them. They all stayed close to the end of the tunnel and checked out the new surroundings.
It was a large desert and the heat here was scorching. It took no genius to realize that this was artificially made considering how cold Golrich was.
There were neither trees nor shrubs in this desert, it was just plain with the burning sand and hot wind.
When Zeralf got here, he had used space sense to try and see if he could detect anything. Surprisingly, his technique was blocked by a barrier layered around the sand and that spiked his interest even more.
When the other two also arrived, they tried to scrutinize the surroundings using their own methods but they also failed.
'' It seems we have to wait for everyone before we can proceed. '' Endra grumbled and cursed silently.
Other participants had begun to arrive a day after Kitasha got to the desert and they all had flabbergasted looks when they saw the trio standing at one corner. Kitasha's prowess still remained fresh in their heads and most of them erroneously thought that she probably must've arrived here first, if only they knew that she was two days late.
After four days again, a bell rang that signalled the end of the first phase, everyone present had an anticipating look and some of them got up from the sand which was half cooking their bums.
When Zeralf observed the numbers of participants who had survived the race from different tunnels, their present numbers were now half of what they started with and this was just the beginning.
'' Grgrgrhgrh ''
The hot sandy ground started to vibrate intensely and Zeralf's eye perked up. All the participants also furrowed their eyebrows and some had their foreheads creased in anxiety. Just what was coming next was what was on their minds.
The desert ground started opening and hideous creatures came out from the depths of the hot sand terrain creepily. It wasn't even a minute before they covered most of the desert and only about fifty meters gap was between the participants and. these creatures.
'' Kreech! ''
Some participants subconsciously stepped back when they heard the menacing screeches that these creatures made as they glared at them dangerously.
They were big brown spiders each reaching a meter in length and behind them, two long wings with sharp edges sprouted out, they had two transparent eyes and their exoskeleton rubbed against each other as they ascended in the air.
'' What the fuck. '' Endra gasped as his eyes almost popped out. '' Things are about to get fuckin exciting haha. '' He bellowed excitedly and those around him were glancing at him to know if he was alright.
There was an army of hideous winged spiders yet he was saying that things were about to get exciting, what was exciting about this?
''Their numbers are at the minimum double the number of participants presents here. '' Zeralf thought to himself as he analyzed the situation.
There was no instruction for this phase, they had simply been dumped here to survive after giving half a day break to the last participant to finish the first phase.
Zeralf instantly teleported and appeared beside one of the winged spiders in midair air, his teleportation was now more than fifty meters in range so reaching their position wasn't a thing. He sent a spatial blade and the spider was dissected in half.
'' Begining of the Quartz rank? '' He inferred after slicing the winged spider with just a casual strike.
He couldn't outrightly teleport here since most of the space before him was covered by the winged spiders and his manoeuvrability over space had not gotten to that level where he could ignore such a situation hence he had to battle his way through.
Kitasha was wielding the two swords she used against the ginormous snake in the previous phase and she had cut down several spiders already.
'' I'm not losing this time around, she gritted her teeth as she set her eyes on the spiders with determination.
Endra on the other hand was laughing and cursing aloud as he crushed those winged creatures with his Zajra.
The winged spiders on the ground level were easy to deal with even for the weak participants, the only problems were their numbers and flight ability. None of them here could fly properly including Zeralf so the winged spiders dodge into the air whenever a fatal attack was coming for them, not only that, from mid-air, they could spray hot corrosive webs capable of injuring the participants and if attacked in great numbers, they could be fatally injured.
'' The more people that get eliminated in this phase, the more people will get eliminated even more. '' Kitasha gnashed her teeth with conviction as she sidestepped to dodge a corrosive web that targeted her leg.
Dust rose as she jumped forward in midair about four o'clock angle to the ground and she stretched her big sword forward, corrosive spider webs gathered around the big sword and vanished then almost simultaneously, she waved her black spiral sword in left to right diagonal motion.
Just like before, a thick corrosive spider web with the power at the peak of the marble rank was launched at the oncoming winged spiders and they all crumbled as their own attacks were used against them.
'' Um? '' Both Zeralf and Endra turned their head in Kitasha's direction.
'' What was that? '' Zeralf thought to himself.
He wasn't really focusing on others' battles and that was why he didn't see what truly happened but that Ki fluctuation was eye-catching and so was the effect of the attack.
''An attack power in the marble rank yet she wasn't fazed at all, she isn't a pushover princess hehe, to think she would've advanced too. '' Endra giggled from where he was watching while casually swinging his sceptre to fend off two winged spiders that attacked from the air while gliding downward.
