Resumen
Westeros is a tough place, and nobody knows that better than Viserra Targaryen. Her affair with Baelon? That’s no love story—it’s a power play, pure and simple. And out of it comes Maekar Targaryen, a character who’s anything but typical. He’s not the kind of guy who’s out to save the day. Maekar’s a self-insert, with a head full of knowledge about the future and no illusions about the game he’s playing.
This guy? He’s all about strategy, ambition, and staying one step ahead of everyone else. He’s not interested in being the good guy—he’s here to win. And in a world where everyone’s looking out for themselves, Maekar knows that sometimes you’ve got to make the tough calls, even if it means stepping on a few toes along the way. The story takes you through his journey, where betrayal isn’t a surprise—it’s just another move on the board.
If you like stories where the main character isn’t afraid to play dirty and where the game of power is full of twists and turns, you’ll want to check out Maekar: A Dragon’s Ambition. This isn’t about noble quests; it’s about survival, cunning, and finding your place in a world that eats the weak for breakfast.

Escribe una reseñaThis is solid but there are two major glaring problems. One is the odd time jumps, I understand why it’s there but I don’t think it should be as big as it is. And next is the biggest problem holding this back, updates. One chapter a week is awful. It helps that the chapters are so long but at least 2 or 3 chapters a week is would seriously improve the story
So far I really enjoy this story. All the characters are lore accurate and the MC is quite uniqe by not really wanting the throne. I really hope the author doesn't drop it. My only reall issue is the slow rate of updade.
A hidden gem! Good novel with POV-style writing. Though the circumstances around the MC seems a bit too... fortunate; more so because it's an ASOIAF story. However, a good story for entertainment, for sure. Trust me, if you have a good understanding of the OG characters, you'll certainly enjoy it. Worth the waiting for the updates.

I don't know how to write a review analyzing every aspect of a story. But these are my honest thoughts. I've read many wish-fulfillment, advanced technology, system, immortal mc, harem stories of ASOIAF. Honestly, it takes away the essence of ASOIAF and makes it just another medieval world with an op mc. This is a great story! It very much captures the intricacies and theme of ASOIAF. With a not-very-op mc and good development. Unlike other stories where mcs don't blend in the world and kinda treats others like npcs, it very portraits a (good enough) realistic development. While the ending may not be up to others' satisfaction, it's very much realistic. Give it a try!

A perfect hidden HOTD fanfiction, dont be disturbed by the once a week chapter release because it's woth it. If i'm not wrong its like 3-4k per chapter with good content not som shitty novel like the others out there. Treat it like a friday snack!!
