Capítulo 5: Chapter 5 - Grand Elder of the War God Sect/Tribulation/The Heavens Are Unfair
"Grandmaster, Princess Eira is here." The manager knocked on the door and said.
"Come in." A elderly voice sounded out.
The manager opened the door and revealed the elderly at his desk. The elderly man observed the little girl infront of him and was inwardly shocked. 'How could she be so calm? The two ladies behind her are more nervous than she is.'
While he was observing Eira, Eira was also observing him.
"So he's still kicking around?" Athena suddenly spoke.
"What? Who is he?" Eira asked but never heard a reply.
The old man broke the silence first. "My name is Huo Lie and I am the creator of your spear. I saw you knock out that brat from the Phoenix clan. How much do you understand the space and wind concepts?"
When the manager heard what the Grandmaster Lie said, he jumped in surprise. 'Isn't she only 10 years old? How could she have such a high perception?' He thought to himself.
"I currently am at the 1st stage of the concept of space: Distortion. For the wind concept, I have only touched the barrier of the 2nd stage: Gale" Eira stated.
Even Grandmaster Lie was surprised that her comprehension was so high, let alone everyone else in the room. A collective gasp was heard inside the room.
Grandmaster Lie calmed down and thanked the stars for helping him find this demonic genius. "I am here as the Grand Elder of the War God Sect to invite you to be one of our disciples."
"War God Sect!" Both Crystal and Lumi were shocked. They didn't expect him to be the grand elder of the War God Sect.
Eira raised her eyebrows in surprise. "If I don't have to leave Genesis Star for at least 2 years, then I will agree. I still want to participate in the Youth Martial Meeting at that time. Is this possible?"
"Heheh, of course. I will leave you with a soul transmission mark so when you are ready to leave, you can just contact me. I also have a skill for you to learn. I created it 100 years ago but never found anyone to practice it. Besides me, you are the only I have shown this to." He pulled out a piece of paper from his space ring. On the top of the paper, it read 'Electric Discharge'.
Eira got up and bowed. "Thank you, Grandmaster Lie. This junior will never forget this kindness you bestowed to me."
"Hahahah, I don't deserve your bow right. In the future, you might be a future pillar of our 3 lower, middle and upper realms. That's all for now."
After saying this, they bid each other farewell and left the Weapon Pavilion.
It was evening by the time they got to the palace. When they got to the palace, Eira went to her room to look over her rewards.
After clearing the 8th level of the trial, she was rewarded a Heaven-Ranked skill called Heaven's Punishment. When it is practiced to pefection, it can annihilate gods and devils. After clearing the 9th level of the trial, she was rewarded insights on the concept of space.
She also personally recieved Grandmaster Lie's insights on the concept of thunder. It was written in a journal instead of being placed inside of a jade slip which is abnormal. After looking at the first page, Eira became engrossed.
'Thunder isn't one of the 5 elements but is actually the evolution of the 5 elements just like wind. Most assume that wind is the fastest element but that title actually belongs to Thunder. Wind focuses on flexibility and its ability to rapidly change directions. Thunder on the other hand is the fastest in terms of absolute velocity.
Thunder is the most destructive of the 7 elements. Thunder is used by the heavens to punish those that fight against the great dao or things that are just plain evil.
Those that persevere through this punishment are in turn, tempered by this tribulation, becoming stronger than they were before. All impurities whether they are inside of your body or in your soul, will be burnt into nothingness, further tempering your mortal shell.
Those that master lightning are said to be able to master the power of life itself...'
As she kept reading, she entered a state of clarity. If anyone were to enter her room right now, they would be frightened. She entered the state of enlightenment at 10 years old! This comprehension ablility is just down right scary.
Athena came out of Eira's spiritual sea because Eira wasn't answering her. When she realized that she was in a state of enlightenment, she almost sunk into depression. 'All of those years of being called a genius durring the Primal Gods Prime days and you show up. I suppose that there is always someone more talented than you in life. It's just too enviable!' Athena sighed and continued to watch. She didn't want to risk waking her up by entering her spiritual sea again. Luckily, no one was able to see her.
The next morning...
Breakfast was prepared by the palace chefs and everyone was called down but for some reason, Eira didn't show up. Empress Mei, Lumi, and Crystal noticed this. Luke and The Dragon Emperor also noticed and decided to check on her. Everyone got up and walked to Eira's room.
When they opened the door, they were greeted with a scene that shocked them. (bad pun)
Eira was sitting on her bed with her eyes closed. Sparks of lightning covered her whole body. Every now and then, the sound of thunder could be heard in the distance. Eira's grandfather saw this scene and his face turned white.
"We need to go... right now." Luke said this and Lumi and Crystal were shocked. Everyone followed Luke out of Luminous Courtyard. When they went outside, they were greeted by very large ominous clouds. This was also notice by the other clans.
"There are clouds looming over the Dragon Clan right now. Is someone advancing to the Tribulation realm?"
"I don't know but lets go check it out."
Everyone was crowding around the Dragon clan to witness a fight against the heavenly order. What they didn't know was that the person who attracted the the tribulation was actually just a 10 year old girl.
Athena was still inside the room with her eyes wide in shock. "She's breaking through to the 3 stage of the Celestial Body technique?" She stood there while the energies of Heaven and earth were wildly surging.
2 hours later, Eira woke up from her enlightenment. Athena sighed in relief and called out to her. "Eira, there is no time to waste. You just broke through to the 3rd layer of the Celestial Body technique and attracted a heavenly tribulation. You need to leave this house and go to somewhere secluded or else, your tribulation will become worse. Take out your spear, revolve your celestial qi and defend yourself. The lightning could strike at any time." When Eira heard how serious her situation was. She immediately jumped out of the window, landed, and broke out into a sprint for the nearest valley. No one saw her luckily because she would definitely cause a disturbance if she was caught.
After making it to the woods, the clouds began to follow her. After 15 minutes, the clouds over the Dragon Clan were gone but not out of sight. Everyone in the crowd sighed and was just about to walk away when the lightning that spent 20 or 25 minutes brewing in the sky finally rained down.
A loud boom echoed through the entirety of the area.
The person who was fighting this monstrous tribulation, was covered in soot. She immediately felt her whole body sting as if ants were crawling inside her body.
"You have to endure. As soon as you give up, the lightning will burn you to ashes. On the 1st tribulation, there are only 3 stages, 1 stage is one bolt, 2nd is 3, and the 3rd is 5. You have 8-" Before Athena could finish the next stage of the tribulation started.

Eira was struck by three bolts of lightning. Each one, stronger than the last. Eira's skin split and her clothes burned to ashes. She was covered in blood the next moment. She was gritting her teeth so hard that her teeth were cracking and her gums were bleeding.
"Just a little more and you'll pull through." Athena was cheering her on as that was all she could do. She never thought that she would have to go through this at such an early stage.
Eira was in a very sorry state right now. On the outside, she looked like she could die at any moment but the fires of her life inside of her soul burned even brighter than before. Athena was shocked by her willpower and tenacity.
Eira's every breath hurt her whole body but she was determined to fight against heavens if they wished to strike her down.
"Bring It On!"
As if it was in reply to her stubbornness, 5 more lightning bolts came down rapidly like it was rain. When the bolts of lightning hit her, she felt her skin catch on fire and turn into charcoal. But what surprised Eira was that when the last bolt hit her, the burnt skin was burnt off and revealed a layer of pink skin. Her skin looked softer than water. She felt her dantian pop at the same time and the essence from the tribulation lightning was then absorbed by her.
To everyone that was far away, it looked like the clouds entered a funnel that led to the ground and about 2 hours later, they disappeared. No one had ever seen tribulation clouds dissapear like this before.
"What happened?"
"Who knows? All I know is that wasn't normal."
The crowd dispersed while speculating on what just happened. Back in front of the dragon clan, Eira's immediate family was waiting infront of Luminous courtyard because they saw that the window was broken. This only confirmed that it was Eira that went through that tribulation.
Everyone was worried and had grave expressions. Eira's mother felt like the world was ending. Her eyes were lifeless and dull.
"Lumi!" Luke patted Lumi on her shoulder. "My niece is very tough. Although she hasn't been through any life or death situations, I can say that she will find a way out of one if she was in one, just like now."
A tiny spark of hope ignited in Lumi's eyes and she nodded but didn't say anything. They all silent waited for her at the gate.
While everyone was worried about Eira, Eira felt better than ever had. She felt like her body was cleansed of all of its impurities. She checked her meridians and dantian with her divine sense and saw that her meridians were twice as thick from before and the energy within her dantian was way purer than before. She could also feel that it could store my essence.
"6th Stage of Foundation building..." Eira was stunned. Even Athena was stunned.
"Check your dantian again, if it's what I'm thinking, this would be a great advantage over others your age for that martial tournament." Athena said urgently.
Eira excitedly checked her dantian more carefully and noticed that there was a pearl with arcs of lightning surrounding it.
"There's some sort of lightning ball on it. Is this good?" Eira asked.
"Good? This is a miracle. You condensed a lightning source. Now you have a lightning spirit body. A very special physique that makes it easier to go through heavenly tribulations. Oh and put some clothes on before someone sees you." Noticing that she was naked only now, she panicked and hurriedly grabbed a robe from her space ring and put it on. After she put her clothes on, she realized that it was too short.
"God damnit!" The sleeves to her top only went to her forearm and her pants only went to right below the knees. She also noticed that her top didnt cover her stomach and her pants were too tight. She looked down and cursed inwardly. "Master, is this supposed to be normal? When I go back, everyone will call me a freak."
When Athena saw the pitiful expression on Eira's face, she laughed. She laughed so hard that she began to shed tears. "Hehe...hahahaha...!" This was the first time Athena ever laughed. Eira's face became dark like a tribulation lightning cloud.
"Ha Ha. It's hilarious. I am too hungry to deal with you, I'm going back." She raised her middle finger at her master and walked away.
"Nooo, wait! Hahahah..." Athena went back into Eira's spiritual sea and started to laugh once more. Eira finally couldn't take it and shut off her senses.
She sprinted all the way to the gate of Luminous courtyard where she saw her family waiting anxiously. "Mother!"
Eira's mother lifted her head up. "Darling?"
Eira ran up to her. "Mother!"
Lumi's eyes lit up. "Eira, I was so worr-" Lumi froze. Everyone froze. They saw a young girl covered from head to toe in soot and she was wearing clothes that was obviously too small for her.
"Hahahahah..." Everyone started to laugh. Lumi's mouth twitched and her shoulders trembled as she saw her daughter's beggar like appearance.
Eira's face became dark once more. She pressure she exuded increased until tue ground started shaking. Only then did everyone stop laughing. Instead, they looked at her in shock. "Does anyone else want to laugh?" Her eyes were cold as ice. She mainly looked at her aunt and uncle because they laughed the hardest which sent shivers down their spine. The ground cracked as the pressure from her aura increased. Now the air was shaking under her aura. "Uncle Luke, Aunt Crystal, meet me in the sparring room. I won't let either of you go until you are black and blue!" Eira had enough of it. It's not like she had a choice. It was either wearing what she has on now or wearing nothing at all. "Grandfather lock Uncle Luke's dantian. Then I will be able to deal with them in one move. I'll let them know that this grand aunt of theirs is pissed."
Everyone was shocked by her words. Crystal is a stage 6 Xiantian warrior. That would mean jumping up 2 large realms! If this news got out, no one would show up at the youth martial meeting. They would immediately give 1st place to Eira for her courage alone. Not to mention Luke. He was already at the peak of core formation. Even with his physical strength, a foundation building martial artist should only be like an ant.
Eira was on the arena holding her spear and she looked at the 2 people 100 meters away from her. "Today, I will make both of you call me grand aunt." She began to build up her power and her aura skyrocketed. Arcs of lightning slithered around her body like snakes. She looked like the reincarnation of a Thunder God.
Luke was actually depressed. He had no essence to block her lightning so he could only use his physical strength to fight back.
Crystal felt like her ego was shredded to pieces. How could she let a foundation building martial artist defeat her? If she did, she would never be able to go out of the palace.
They both took their battle stances. Seeing this, Eira sneered. "Come at me!"
Crystal looked at her brother and smiled. He smiled back. "Let's teach that spoiled brat a lesson."
"Spoiled brat? Hehehe... I will show you who's spoiled." She then left an afterimage where she stood and attacked.
Luke and Crystal opened their eyes wide as a foundation building martial artist should not be able to hear clearly from this far away. They then felt like someone was behind them but it was just too late.
Eira, got behind while they were startled and used the back of her spear to hit the back of both of their necks. They both fell down and the match was over in an instant.
Eira used all of her essence on that attack making her more tired than she had ever felt in her life. She was about to fall but managed to stab her spear into the arena to keep her self up.
Everyone including the servant and maids looked at the child like she was the demon lord incarnate. Her family was sitting on the side and they were stunned.
"She actually did it..." Eira's grandfather was stunned silly. When he looked at this figure on the arena, he actually felt some admiration for her.
On the arena, Eira's vision was blurry. Her hands were trembling which made it hard for her to balance on her spear. Sweat was pouring off her face like a fountain. Her leg muscles were cramping from over working them. It took everything she had to stand up straight.
At this point, both Crystal and Luke woke up. They rubbed their neck and felt pain. They then felt someone standing over them. They looked up and saw Eira standing over them like an overlord.
"Your grand aunty, I, beat you. Do you still feel like laughing?" Eira sneer. With a cold "humph", she took her spear out of the ground and her legs started to become wobbly. She fought it and by some sort of miracle, she slowly made it over to her grandfather. She then smiled and asked while heavily breathing. "Can I have... new clothes sent over... tomorrow?"
Her grandfather nodded absentmindedly. When Eira said this, it was only then that they realized that she was taller than before but they ignored this.
"Great!" Eira said exhaustedly and closed her eyes as she fainted.
Eira's mother caught her before she hit the floor but she was still in a daze. But when she felt the faint energy radiating off of her daughter she was more stunned.
"6th stage foundation building?"
"Huh?" Everyone including Luke and Crystal came over.
"Wait, that doesn't explain why she heard us whispering from 100 meters away" Crystal said.
"You guys were whispering?" The Dragon Emperor asked. "I didn't even hear you clearly. How are senses so keen?" He furrowed his brows in thought. He then looked at Eira. A startling thought came to mind. "Lay Eira on the floor. I'm gonna check her meridians and her dantian." Lumi reluctantly layed her daughter on the floor and let her father check her out.
When he finished the check up, her was so startled, he started to mumble to himself. "Thunder Spirit Body... she has the thunder spirit..."
"Father, please tell me nothing is wrong with her body." Lumi anxiously said.
Her father looked back at her and spoke 3 words very clearly. "Thunder Spirit Body..."
"What?" Crystal felt her depression coming in. Her niece made her feel like she wasn't a genius in cultivation. 'The heavens, indeed, are not fair.'
