Capítulo 32: The predicament

Maimuna sat cross-legged, papers scattered everywhere. Scrolls were laying around her. She was anxious and nervous about the much anticipated public wedding ceremony. A part of her felt excited while the other was almost afraid.

The scrolls around her contained the case that her husband was supposed to handle. Being the king of the supernaturals, he was in charge of overseeing criminal and civil cases among the civilians.

He has been very busy planning their wedding ceremony which resulted in him delaying the court processions and hearing. She has been trained in all sorts of things and the law of the land was the primary part of her education.

As she read through the summary of each case, her frown deepened. This was the first time she has had the opportunity to go through such confidential documents. Earlier, she has been informed by Malik that she would be going through a practical trial.
