Capítulo 70: Theo

Theo stood looking down at the map of a long narrow valley with two sharp cliffs on either side.

This was not just any valley.

This was the valley he had seen in his vision. The one that had terrified him ever since he had first seen it.

Theo had the power of foresight. An inheritance from his great-grandmother, Rosilyn of the Briar. She was the greatest soothsayer the world had ever seen, and none had been able to rival her since. Not even Theo’s own power could hold a candle to his great-grandmother’s, and he was considered quite powerful.

Theo could only see a single scene of the future; just a sliver of it. Sometimes it was just a picture, other times it was like a several moving images.

His grandmother, who had handed down the ability to Theo, had been able to see several of the possible paths around the scene.
