Capítulo 3: Chapter 3: The Hunt

It was the day of the hunt and I've practically had no sleep as I've been up all night due to nervousness but now I'm up I can begin the gruelling task of getting ready. It took me four hours to do my hair and makeup and I had to ask for help to do up my dress zipper and then I let the house with my brothers and made our way to where the hunt was taking place. We arrived earlier than the invite said but we still had to wait to get into the arena where the royals will start the hunt. The royals came and signified the start of the hunt by shifting and we all followed and we ran into the forest and were given two minutes to hide before the males go to search for their female or male mates. The sound of a gun signified that the men were allowed to find their mates, I shifted to human form and climbed a tree and released my smell so my mate could find me but it also brought other greedy men to me. Now I was stuck in a tree with two men at the bottom knowing that I would have to come down, knowing that I couldn't prolong the inevitable I climbed down the tree and the men grabbed me once I was on the bottom branch. They threw me and I hit another tree which made me whimper in pain as I saw them moving closer to me and I shut my eyes not wanting to see what they were going to do.

The gun shot sent me running towards the smell of lillies knowing that the smell belonged to my mate, finally I was going to find my mate and be able to be happy for the rest of my life with her in my arms. I knew that I would have to reach her soon as her beautiful innocent smell would attract other men and the very thought of another man reaching her before I did pushed me to run faster. I reached a clearing where I saw two men and a woman and the men were ripping her clothing as she wimpered on the floor, I smelled the lillies and knew she was mine so I jumped at the men and tore them to shreds for touching my princess. I shifted back and pulled her whimpering body into mine and I watched her faint in my arms, where she was safe and sound where no one could harm her.
