Capítulo 159: The circle of life

By Cael's estimate, the sun should be setting on the surface for now. In the Green Rings, it was the beginning of their day cycle, when Carver brought Cael and Ginevra to their best room—previously inhabited by the Black Wing.

There, Ginevra took out the young cat she carried in her bag. She took quite a personal patronage over him, which began with a simple question asked to Cael: "Can you heal him with your magic?"

Cael checked his store of Blood Points. More than enough for a tiny cat. "Yes. Give him to me."

This time, using the Vitality Transfer spell was much easier than before. It was still hard and took a while, but Cael felt that now he wasn't in the danger of fumbling it entirely.

The cat's wounds were severe, but it was so tiny that the entire healing procedure took only forty Blood Points. Cael still had a thousand left, and much more until his next upgrade.
