Twilight walked down the corridor of the Secret Laboratory with a purpose.
Starfall had been stuck in the basement with Whooves for the last three days doing Celestia knows what, and she was going to drag him out even if by force.
Tomorrow night was the Centennial Meteor Shower And she would be damned if she didn't have him by her side during the event!
The Unicorn stood in front of a large door with a glowing crystal above them, which informed that somepony was currently inside.
She took out the security card with a level 5 clearance and swapped it over the magical device beside the door, finally getting the doors to open revealing a brown coated Pony surrounded with blueprints and pieces of Magi-tech machinery that she had no idea what they were for.
Dr. Whooves turned around hearing the sound of the doors opening and Twilight noticed the large bangs under his eyes.
"Ah! Miss Twilight! What do I owe the pleasure?" He asked clearly exhausted but still filled with a lot of excitement for whatever it was that he was doing...
"Ah...Dr. Whooves...Good morning...I don't suppose you slept tonight?" Twilight said suddenly worried for the stallion.
"Ah! It's already morning...I'm sorry. It appears I didn't keep track of time...It's just my research. I am just so close to achieving something great!" He said full of excitement making Twilight sigh.
"Right...Well I know how it is to get swooped in research, but you should really look more after your health. From my own experience I can tell you that you won't do much progress if your in that state..." She said making Whooves grimace.
"I suppose you're right...I'll see to it that I get some rest Miss Twilight. Thank you for your care. Is that why you came here though?" He asked to which Twilight shook her head.
"No. I was hoping to find Starfall actually. Do you perhaps know where he is?" She asked and Whooves nodded with a wry grin.
"Well, if he didn't go out from the basement like me, then he's most likely still in the Bio-magic Sector. He sometimes goes out to help me, but he seemed pretty worked up with his most recent idea. Sadly he didn't tell me what he's doing there so that's all I can tell you." He explained and Twilight sighed.
"It's alright, Thank you for the information...Also...Since when do we have a Bio-magic Sector?" She asked suddenly realising another part of his sentence.
"Haha...Well Starfall does have the tendency to add new sectors into this Lab in the span of a single day whenever a new inspiration strucks him. Honestly I'm pretty sure he already perfected an entire series of new Mining and transfiguration spell to make it possible..."He explained and Twilight realized that it was probably exactly what he did.
"Sigh it's just like him to do something like this. Alright I'm off. Thanks again Whooves." She said leaving the Chamber.
"No problem Miss. See you soon." He said back and the doors closed behind her.
"...Damn...But she has one mean booty...That's for sure..." He muttered to himself with a chuckle. He'd have to give Starfall a brohoof the next time they see eachother...

Twilight walked down the stairs towards the new section, passing the chamber she originally expected to find Starfall in which was where he had spend a few previous days as far as she knew, and going deeper, when a room with a plaque saying "Bio-magic Research - Experiment Section" caught her attention.
She could tell that it was her destination even if she didn't see the glowing crystal above the doors thanks to the loud noises from behind them and a slightly shaking ground...
A quick swipe of her card brought no effect other than a message "Lockdown" Appearing on the device and Twilight suddenly became worried.
"Starfall!*Knock knock* Are you there!?" She called out before hearing the sound of screeching and clopping of hooves on the ground.
The Doors them opened showing a dishelved, heavy breathing Starfall who upon seeing Twilight instantly smiled And Twilight could instantly tell that something was suspicious.
"Hey!...Twilight!...So good to see you!..." He said as a weird wooden tentacle tried to wrap around his leg and he kicked it away.
"..."Twilight looked at his for a moment as Starfall tried too keep his face straight.
"so...Do I want to know?" She asked And Starfall laughed awkwardly.
"Ahaha...Let's just say crossing a Hydra with a Timberwolf is not a solution to creating a self replicating biological matter, but if you want to create an Eldrich Monstrosity then..." He said while blasting another tentacle with a telekinetic ram without even turning.
"I...I see...Do you need help?" She asked and Starfall smiled.
"Well, not really. I was prepared to make a few mistakes along the way...Is there any reason for you to visit me at this time Love?" He asked innocently and Twilight couldn't help but sigh.
"Ugh...Please tell me that it's at least not sentient. And yes. I'm here to drag you out of this basement. But I suppose I can give you a moment to take care of this... whatever you're doing. Just don't be late for our Stargazing tomorrow or that tentacle monster is going to be the least of your problems." She said causing Starfall to open his eyes in surprise.
"It's tomorrow!? Sweet Celestia how the time flies...haha..Don't worry Dear. I'll be sure to accompany you tomorrow. And yes it isn't sentient so you can rest assured I'm not playing god in there...yet..."He said the last part quietly.
"I heard that."Twilight said unamused.
"Haha...I have no idea what you mean... Now excuse me Love. I need to take care of some flammable sushi before I can get ready for our evening." He said giving twilight a chaste kiss and closing the door.
She could hear some sound of explosion, screeching and fire, and Starfall screaming something along the lines of "Die you Abomination! Die!"
Twilight decided to not pay any more attention to what she just witnessed and turned around to leave the Lab. Although the researcher part of her really wanted to join Starfall in his research...But she knew that she wouldn't be able to leave without missing the Stargazing and She Didn't have the monstrous stamina of Starfall.
She was almost certain that he didn't sleep for over three days now but he didn't seem to be experiencing much fatigue. She really cursed that she was so far behind in magic reinforcement in comparison to him...
Her steps soon took her into the Library where she decided to simply start to prepare for tomorrow's evening. She had a lot of time so she didn't need to hurry anyway and there wasn't much to do without Starfall and the others if she were to be honest.

Starfall was taking notes in his Journal while a huge burning corpse of an Eldrich wooden Abomination was laying behind him, slowly turning into ash and magic particles.
"Sigh. Well that was a bust... A self replicating flesh factory from a mindless golem. Good in theory. Much worse in practice. I guess I'd have to stick onto simply feeding the highly regenerative hydra flesh my magic to multiply it. Also I need the cooperation from Pinkie to get the base for the main experiment...Sigh. Let's just hope she doesn't end up causing chaos like in the show and doesn't inquire why I actually need her magical clone...
"Alright. I guess that's all. I need to get ready and help Twily get ready for tomorrow. I hope Luna won't be too disappointed that I didn't invite her to join, but this is something I wanted to share with Twilight alone..." He muttered with a sigh.

Getting out of the basement had Starfall meet with a surprising sight. Twilight nuzzling with a large fluffy owl who Starfall instantly recognized although he was surprised to see her this early.
"Ah Starfall You're finally here! Look here! This is Owlowiscious! She's a really smart owl who came to help me with preparation out of her own will. I decided to keep her. What do you think?" She asked with hope in her eyes and Starfall laughed seeing both Twilight and the Owl giving him their own versions of puppy eyes.
"Of Course Twilight. She's more than welcome. It's nice to meet you Owlowiscious." He said to the owl.
"Hoot" The owl Saud and Starfall smiled.
"Likewise." He said and Twilight giggled.
"Oh my. Did you suddenly learn how to speak Owlish? Haha!" Twilight laughed and Starfall Smirked.
"I don't need to. It's clear that she was praising my genius so I only praised her own in return." He said, and even the owl seemed to find his word amusing as everyone started to laugh...
