Pei Jue paused slightly.
Not very surprised, his emotions remained as stable as ever.
It was as if, for him, Feng Yun stirring up the heavens was not an oddity at all.
Feng Yun felt unnerved by his gaze and asked, "Aren't you happy I came, General?"
Pei Jue quietly looked at her and suddenly embraced her in his arms, his hands gripping her waist as he lifted her off the ground and strode inside. Feng Yun pushed him away, but he was as hard as stone and she couldn't muster the strength; her long legs lifted and helplessly hung at his waist.
"What are you doing?"
Pei Jue said nothing as he sat her down on the desk, allowing Feng Yun to finally look him in the eye.
