Resumen
The day the city fell, Feng Yun was treated by her father as a spoil of war and presented to the enemy general.
Everyone pitied her, soon to be a captive, plunging into a fiery pit.
Yet she veiled the little donkey cart that took her out of the city tightly, daring not to let anyone see the secret delight in her heart…
As a child, she behaved oddly and spoke startling words, once predicting a war in which the whole army was wiped out, nearly being burned to death by her clan as a demon.
When she grew up, her beauty was out of the world, but she was rejected by her husband's family.
In the period of chaos and disorder everywhewe, where could a female captive go?
"I do not seek a devoted partner to grow old with; I merely wish to rule unrivaled in this life."
In her previous life, Feng Yun was always the one being scorned by others; in this life, she decided to strike first, turning the tables on each and every one of them, those so-called unreachable flowers and beasts in gentleman's clothing, those degenerates… all to be scorned in return.

Escribe una reseñaA refreshing rebirth story - still not sure if Pei Jue is the ML. FL is using her previous life's lessons and experiences to navigate a fate as bad or worse than death ..... She has trauma and every time she has to interact with the general she has traumatic flashbacks but is quickwitted enough to get through the situations. Definitely worth reading - at least in the opening chapters
I always find it so surprising when really good stories only have a few reviews. So, here’s review #4. This 📖 has been added to my list of favorites. Why? Because. “Because” isn’t an answer…lol…so here’s why: I love transmigration and rebirth stories. It’s so satisfying to read about someone being able to change their fate. I think we have all wished for that at some point in our lives. But, just because it’s a rebirth story doesn’t mean I automatically love it. The story is well written and flows smoothly. At the end of every chapter, I can’t wait to turn the page! You don’t know how many times I’ve been looking forward to reading a new story, only to cringe at the grammar or get confused by how the story is told. The FL is smart, strong and capable. Although she still lives in a world where women are at the mercy of men, she manages to out manœuvre her enemies.
This is a well rounded and interesting read. The FL becomes clear headed after rebirth and tries to make life better for herself and the people around her. I love a strong female lead. Set in a time when women were nothing more than a breeding tool in a dress, the FL struggles to step out of that mindset and be more.
It definitely has my interest. There are some problems with the translation. I like one of the authors other novels but the translation for it has been on hiatus for years. So I’m worried if I start this it won’t get finished. Also it looks like this an ongoing novel in coo.
