Capítulo 140: Animator Thant

A frail elf with gaunt face, dark violet robes and ghastly white hair began to climb down using the roots. His steps were fleeting as he sprightly jumped from one root to another and within a few seconds he was standing on a root just a few feet above the ground.

He made a cut into the root below him and drew a few drops of glowing tree sap and infused it in a dried corpse in his hands. Instantly, the corpse de-aged a few decades, regaining its fleshiness. 

The old Elf waved his wand, chanting a spell in Mortarin, the language of the undead. His spell animated the corpse and turned it into an Undead Militia! 

Seeing this scene, Samar realized that this Elf was the culprit behind the degradation of the Longevity Tree Roots. 

The thousands of Undead, animated from the corpses of Elves, were created by him using the root sap of the Tree. His reckless extraction had caused the dying Longevity Tree to lose its vitality even faster!
