It's already been a week since Valerian's win. The initial cheering crowd that used to greet him and follow him around wherever he went now seemed to avoid eye contact whenever he was around.

Valerian didn't seem to enjoy the attention either. He had been wearing a grumpy expression for the past week. 

The once enthusiastic crowd now tiptoed around him, their cheers replaced by awkward glances and averted eyes. It was as if Valerian had somehow cast a shadow so daunting that others were hesitant to approach.

The other students didn't even have the audacity to look him in the eye and they would automatically make way whenever Valerian was around.

The bullying had stopped as well. The bullying was never a major problem for Ana (she had faced more evil people, after all) but she had to admit that being bombarded with every single kind of cooking ingredient there was could be pretty annoying.
