Chapter 4 Partners
Mike sighed, "Finally" he said, looking at a familiar skyline. New York, Mike had thought about where to settle while riding and decided on one of 3 places. Gotham, Metropolis, or New York. While deciding where to go the thought about who could he work with, he was under no illusion he needed a company to partner with to make money and and he needed access to an underworld to get a new identity. As far as who he could work with, Lex Corp, Wayne Industries, were definitely up there, but he had issues.
Lex Luthor would use his tech to commit crime,and Brucee Wayne would probably use the partner ship to get into his systems to set up failsafes. Mike intended to start his ownbusinesss when he got Morganrote and had nointerestt in having someone else in his tech if he could help it. Stark International was too hard to contact that left Reed Richards. Getting into the Baxter building and into contact with the fantastic 4 should not be that hard compared to the others he considered, and Richards had never really been interested in profit, just science. With that in min, Mike went to a local store and bought graph paper and a set of pencils.
Going to Central Park to find a quiet spot to draw, he began to print up a series of robots as well as power plants and other devices based on the knowledge he received from Dr J. He even drew a schematics for a pseudo GN Drive. not powerful enough to run a mobile suit but enough to power cars boats and even aircraft. he made sure to fix the problem with the pseudo GN particles causing toxic wounds that made medical treatment difficult. (That should be enough to get his attention.) Mike thought with satisfaction before walking over to the Baxter building. He wrote a note with his name and the address for the motel he was staying at asking to be contacted if they were interested in the designs.
POV Reed Richards
Reed had been locked in his lab for a few days. He was working on several products that seemed promising but had not made much progress. BUZZZZZZZ
A noise interrupted his thoughts."Yes?" he asked. "Hey, stretch. got something for you to look at." His Pal Ben Grimm said. "What is it? Reed asked. "Don't really know." Ben admitted." I would normally ask Suzy, but she is gone out for the day." Reed sighed ( Another wannabe invention) he thought they happened a couple of times a year that some scientist came up with a project they thought was going to be big but wound up not being possible. For some reason, they thought that with him being one of the smartest people in the world, he might be able to work out the kinks in the inventions. Rarely were they worth his time or challenged him in any way.
He reluctantly took the pack of papers and glanced at them. Then he gave them a second look shocked. ( This reactor could be more powerful than Starks arc reactor.) There were no issues he could see, and everything was well thought out the theories were sound. He flipped through a few more pages, a robot that could help with search and rescue, a few schematics for prosthetics that were revolutionary in both their low cost and functionality.
Then he saw the note with an address for the motel, asking him to visit to discuss the items. Reed was about to go to see this mystery person when he got a call from Tony Stark. "Hey Reed, what ya doing?" Tony asked with his usual brashness. "I'm going to see someone about some fascinating tech, Tony. Honestly, if you said it was you behind it, I wouldn't be surprised." Reed said with excitement. Tony was now interested. "What do you mean?" Reed showed Stark the blueprints.
Tony was stunned, the power cell alone was revolutionary he had to meet the person who created this. " Mind if I tag along?" Tony asked. Neither noticed a small electronic bug listening and broadcasting their conversation.
POV Mike
Mike heard a knock at his door. (Finally) Mike thought and went to open the door. Upon opening the door he found not only Reed Richards but also Tony Stark. (What the hell?) Mike thought before greeting both men. As they sat at the table in the Motel room Stark and Richards were amazed by just how young the kid was. "So what is it that you are looking for?" Tony asked simply.
Those inventions could revolutionize many things. " I need 2 things money and a new identity." Mike said simply. Tony joke. "What are you a wanted man?" Mike responded "No but I lost everything I had, including my identity. I'm sure a businessman such as yourself has contacts he could talk to." Tony paused he did know a few people. Heck, since becoming Iron Man, this wouldn't even be the first time he had to set someone up with a new identity. "Sure kid, but you have to tell me and Reed here about these plans you showed."
