Capítulo 43: 43. Keep Who Waiting?

~In A Forest~

~Ting~

"Come on Ami, do better," Sia yells.

"Tch, ah!" Ami bit her lower lips and swung her sword. However, Sia parried it easily with the dagger in her hand.

"In less than a month, we storm that place with our full force while you sneak in. Do you think you'll be safe because of your gift?"

"Hiyah!"

~Ting~

"I assure you, you won't be safe. You'll be walking on a thin thread and your life will be in danger every second."

"Ah!"

~Ting~

"Too obvious," Sia says to Ami after blocking the sword arced at her neck. With a turn she kicks Ami's side and sent her flying. "One strike and you are down."

"Ack!" Ami coughs and spat out blood. From the pain she felt, she could tell a few ribs were broken.

"Remain down," Sia says and tossed her a pill.

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me, get stronger. Be able to face a seventh and eighth stage without breaking a sweat."

Ami takes the pill and Sia sighs. "Depending on how you do on this mission, you will be treated well. Your rank among others under the madam will shoot up. She has great expectations of your gift."

"I understand."

"I really hope so. We are done for today. Do not expect leniency from me tomorrow."

"Yes ma'am."

Sia sits beside her and says, "heal up and let's go."

"Okay. Is it okay to ask, where exactly are we raiding?"

"Hmm…"

"The more I know the easier it will be. I'll map out where to hide before hand and know what threat to avoid."

"Well, I'll show you tomorrow. For now just know where we are raiding has two, second stage nascent soul masters and five first stages."

"How many do we have?"

"Two second stages and three first stages."

"I see. Is it possible to talk to madam to get me an artifact that hides one's aura?"

"She already got you one, so focus more on getting stronger."

"Yes ma'am."

"This place is nice," Hiro commented.

Currently, he was in a small courtyard with Rue who was smiling from ear to ear. He was so happy right now and the reason for that was the courtyard they had managed to get.

"Luckily we weren't too late," he thought.

He had led Hiro to the Q Dorm reception hall. On getting there they met two others who wanted to buy a place and found out there were only four courtyards left. They were fortunate enough to get one.

"Hmm, it's a good place," Hiro mutters.

"It is just as the receptionist had said, five rooms and there's a well so we don't have to worry about water."

"Enough for five disciples."

"Yes, let me check if the previous owners left anything," Rue says and runs to the closest room.

Hiro nods and looks around. "It is better than other places we passed but the energy is far lesser than at the Lu family's manor," he thought. "Luckily, Izuhi asked grandfather to let me carry that orb. It would help a lot, for now what I need to worry about is providing for him. Why the hell does the academy have such a thing?"

"Rue," he calls out.

"Yes elder brother." Rue stuck his head out of the room.

"What exactly do you need for cultivation?"

"Huh? Oh… um I don't need anything. This place has enough energy for me." Rue scratches his head and fully steps out.

"Just tell me what you need, if I can I'll get it if I can't we'll forget about it until I can."

"O… okay. I need a bone strengthening pill, meridian pill and a foundation establishment pill to help me achieve breakthrough into the foundation realm."

"You just need one of each?" Hiro frowns at him.

"If… if possible… every… every month. I need each of them… every month," Rue stutters.

"Okay and concerning feeding for the both of us?"

"Um… It depends on how we eat and how many times we eat."

"You mean?"

"If we eat out, it's going to cost a lot. However, if we make our own food, the cost of feeding will be negligible. Elder brother should know the school allocates to us a certain amount of foodstuff every month."

"I can't cook."

"Elder brother doesn't need to worry. One of my strong point is my cooking. If elder brother ends up liking my cooking, I can cook for us. Does elder brother have any special dish he likes? I might know it."

"What? I don't even remember the name of those food… hm? You still hurt," Hiro says looking at his leg.

"We should get you to the southern alchemist, so you can get an healing pill. Though we'll have to buy it."

"Is that the only thing I'll get from going there?"

"Hm? Mostly."

"There's no need then. Check the rooms and let me know what we'll need."

"Um… yes elder brother."

"Call me Hiro."

Rue turns to the next room and steps in. A while later in walks out and head to the next one. Hiro watches him continue the same process until the last room. When he was through he walks up to him.

"The previous owners didn't leave anything so we'll be getting quite a lot. Elder brother, I laid a mat in the middle room, you can rest while I go to the market."

"You sure about that?"

"Yes elder brother, you just have to give me the money."

"Okay, will five thousand gold be enough?"

"Huh? It would be more than enough… you don't need to give me that…"

"Here, count the five thousand out and hand me the rest," Hiro interrupts as he stretches a pouch bag to him.

"Elder brother, it's too much."

"Buy every thing you deem necessary and return what's left," Hiro says and thought. "If I'm going meet the target elder sister placed for me, I'll have to cultivate nonstop."

"Okay senior brother."

"I'll be busy healing up," Hiro says and walks toward the room Rue had mentioned.

He walked into an entirely empty room. It had a window and other than that was the mat Rue had placed. Unexpectedly it was clean, evidence of someone having cleaned it. He sat down on the mat and almost immediately, Rue's voice sounds.

"Elder brother, I'm returning your bag."

"Come in."

"Okay," Rue walks in and hands him the bag. "I'll be off."

"Sure," Hiro nods and watches him leave. He took out another bag and picked three pills. In one go, he swallowed them. "I wonder why you've only healed a bit," he mutters while looking at his leg and keeping the bags. Out came a third bag from his chest pocket, and from it Hiro took out an orb. Gently he placed it in front of him and kept the bag.

"Alright," he mutters and closes his eyes.

"Do you really have to fight him? Can't you wave it off?" Tanji asks with a sigh.

Class was over and they were at the battle arena. Shin was getting ready to duke it out with Mos. Tanji didn't like it one bit, and he tried his best to change Shin's mind. However Shin was adamant. He wanted to teach Mos a lesson.

"Quit whining, it would be over before you know it," Shin says.

"Well, they usually fought in my previous life, I should let them be. Instead, I should focus on making pills," Tanji thought. "I need to make a lot of them."

"Where are you going?" Mia asks seeing Tanji turning around.

"I'm going to make pills. Shin go easy on him, okay?"

"Why?" Shin asks.

"You guys will meet again in the future. When you are done come over so I teach you that method."

"Okay."

"Mia do you want to watch?"

"Huh? Hmm…" she looks at Shin and then at Tanji. "I'll follow you."

She turns to Shin. "Make sure you win." Shin nods as the two of them walked away.

Tanji turns to Mia when they were some distance away and asks. "So what do you think of Shin now?"

"Hmm… he's not bad, not as scary as I thought."

"See, I hope you get along with him."

"Huh? Why?"

"It's good to have friends and a strong circle."

"Having too much friends is bad."

"That's why we are going to keep it small."

"Why are we going this way?"

"I want to get something from the market."

"Hey Tanji!" a voice ahead calls out.

Both Tanji and Mia looked up. "Oh, it's Xuan," Mia says. Not far from them was a boy, who was waving at them.

"Tch," Tanji tsks quietly.

"Something wrong?" Mia whispers.

"Huh? Not really, I just wanna hurry back," Tanji lies as Xuan runs over.

"Hey Mi'er, hey Tanji."

"I told you it's Mia, you keep calling me that," Mia pouts a bit.

"Hehe, I was heading toward your place. Why are you just leaving the central region?"

"We stopped by the battle arena."

"Oh, my class finished late today, hope I didn't keep you waiting."

"Keep who waiting?" Mia asks.
