"Huh? When it started I knew it wasn't real, so I calmed myself as much as possible," Hiro lies.
"And how did you know it wasn't real?"
"My leg wasn't hurting,"
"Huh?"
"I hurt my leg before I started the test. During the illusion my leg wasn't hurting,"
"I see, you take note of body,"
"But you still haven't answered me. How did you break the illusion so…"

A loud thud interrupted him, and both him and Hiro turned to the direction of the sound. Thirty four whose eyes were closed had punched the pillar and drew his arm back to land another punch on it.

"Sigh, another muscle brain I see," the man mutters.
Almost immediately, the girl who had gotten a green light in the previous test kicked the pillar. She bit her lower lips and took a stance. Her right leg in front and her left leg behind. Her fists tightened with the right one in front to block and left one ready to attack. Hiro didn't know what she was fighting but he could tell from the way she sweated, it wasn't an easy opponent for her.
"If I touch the pillar again, will I enter an illusion?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I want to confirm something, can I?"
"Sure, that's your business,"
The man shrugs and Hiro turns to the pillar. He takes a deep breath before placing his hand on the pillar. Just like before, everyone disappeared. This time it wasn't only everyone. The walls, the ceiling and the floor changed. Hiro was in the sky and below him was a golden sea.
"As expected, the pain is gone," Hiro mutters while looking at his leg. "Does that mean this isn't my body?"
He pinched his arm and his eyes widened. "Ouch! That hurts,"
Almost immediately, the surroundings changed and Hiro opened his eyes. The pillar from before greeted him first and his head ached a bit. He looked around as he continued to blink. Thirty four was still punching the pillar, nonstop. The girl from before, was still in a stance. Looking at her from this angle he could see her number plate, thirty seven.
Standing behind Hiro, was the man who was watching them. And beside him was the other girl. On her number plate was thirty six. She looked at Hiro with a nonchalant expression on her face. He couldn't see the other boy, who was on the other side of the pillar.
Realizing he still had sometime, Hiro placed his hand on the pillar again. He returned back to the sky above the golden sea. The pain from pinching himself was evident but the pain from his leg was gone.
"This is my soul form… avatar, soul avatar," he muttered as he closed and opened his fist. "Hmm?"
From the sea, thousands of orbs rose to the sky. Some were golden orbs and some were white. They filled the sky without clustering around.
"What's this?" he asks as he stretches his hand to the nearest orb. It was a white one. His hand reached it and he grabbed it. "Ah!"
Right away, everything vanished. Hiro bit his lower lip hard. His head ached and his consciousness faded away.

"Hao Ren, stop chasing it, you are going to hurt yourself," yells a young girl with black long hair.
She was yelling at a boy who was chasing a white rabbit. Beside her was a boy with black short hair and a girl, who was holding a basket.
It was a lovely day, with clear blue sky. The sun was up and they stood under the shade of a huge tree. It was the only one in this meadow and they had planned to rest beneath it while they had a picnic.
"I'm fine Mi'er. Once I catch it, I'll give it's gem to you," Hao Ren yelled as he continues to chase.
"As stubborn as ever, hmph," Mi'er pouts.
"Mi'er, why bother? Come let's eat," the boy beside her said. He had just laid a blue cloth on the green grass.
"Tenjou, we all know she likes him. She's worried," the other girl said as she dropped the basket in her hand.
"Tch, Say Miki, how many times has she told him she likes him? Twice? And what did he do? He literally friend zoned her,"
"He is just dense," Mi'er defended.
"Too dense!" Miki yelled.
"I like him like that,"
"Stop wasting your time with him," Tenjou pouts while looking at the swaying grasses. Quietly he says, "why don't you like me instead?"
"Alright Hao Ren, we came to have a picnic, we didn't come here to chase a bunny,"
"I almost got it!" Hao Ren yelled and dived at the rabbit. It jumped out of the way causing him to miss it. He crashed to the ground and lands on his chest.
"Are you alright?" Mi'er yells.
"Relax, how can something like that wound him?" Miki asks.
"He is an Ascendant. He may not be on our level but he is way beyond a mortal," Tenjou says.
"Would you two let me worry in peace!" Mi'er yells.
"Haha,"
"Hao Ren come eat!" Miki yells.
"Coming." Hao Ren stands up and walks over while pouting. He watched as the rabbit ran into the distance in mere seconds. "Why is that beast so fast? Tch, I wanted to give that to Mi'er."
"Are you alright?" Mi'er asks as he arrives. She patted his clothes, getting rid of the dust on his body.
"I'm fine Mi'er. Ahem!" Hao Ren coughed.
"Elder brother, you may be an ascendant but you still have a frail body,"
"Mi'er, your cultivation has surpassed mine, I'm no longer your elder brother,"
"You are still my elder brother. Even if I surpass you a thousand times, you will still be my elder brother,"
"Yeah right," Hao Ren says sarcastically. "In no time you all will become kings, outlive my lifespan and before you know it, you'll forget about me,"
"Hmph, elder brother is that would you think? I will never forget about you," Mi'er grabs his arm. "After all I love you,"
"Hehe, you are just saying that to make me feel better. Thanks Mi'er, I love you too,"
"I'm serious! I love you,"
"Hehe,"
"See, he is just laughing about it!" Tenjou yells.
"That's not your business, Tenjou!"
"Alright, let's eat," Hao Ren said and bent down.
"I don't know what to do with this love triangle you guys have," Miki said as she ate.
"It's not a love triangle!" Tenjou yells.
"Yeah, it's a love square, we all know you love Tenjou," Mi'er said and sat beside Hao Ren, who had started eating.
"I don't, and beside it's only a square if Hao Ren likes me,"
"Why would I like a bully like you? Hmph," Hao Ren snorts.
"Come on now, hehe. I only bully you to put you in shape,"
"See! She didn't properly deny it," Mi'er says. "If she didn't like Tenjou, she wouldn't have changed the subject like that,"
"I didn't change the subject,"
"Did too. Be like me, be bold and confess your feelings, even if you get rejected. You too Tenjou,"
"Huh? Confess my feelings? Ack!" Tenjou chokes on his food.
"Yeah, we all know you like me,"
"I do not,"
"Yeah, yeah whatever. The four of us are weird, or rather our friendship is weird,"
"I agree," Miki says with a smile. "But I like it,"
"Hmph, you guys are fun, that's all," Tenjou voices.
"I cherish all of you, including Miki the bully, hehe," Hao Ren smiles and then frowns. "Ouch, ouch… I'm sorry!"
"I cherish you too," Miki says with a smirk.
"Miki!" Mi'er calls.
"Alright, the rejected wife comes to save the day,"
"I'm not yet his wife, but I will be someday." Mi'er grabs Hao Ren arm even tighter and rubs her cheek against his shoulder. "Isn't that right, Hao Ren?"
"I'm not going to get married, I'll be single forever,"
"What?"
"Rejected!" Miki giggles.
"I told you to forget about him," Tenjou says.
"Don't worry I'll make him marry me," Mi'er continues to rub her cheek against his arm. "You are going to love me back someday,"
Hao Ren smiles wryly as he says in his head. "I love you too. Sincerely I want to say that, but you are a shining star and I am just a tree. I'll grow old and wither, you won't. I don't want you to suffer when I'm gone. You don't deserve to live your long life with heart ache and… I don't deserve you,"
"Alright, here you go," Hao Ren hands Mi'er some food. "Here you go too bully,"
"You! Just you wait, after we enjoy this picnic, I'm going to deal with you," Miki glared at him.
"Yeah, I know. Now take,"
"Hmph, thank you,"
