"What's that?" Hiro asked.
"Forty thousand!"
"I didn't pay attention when they mentioned it, but I think it's a level five artifact used for gatherings Yuan Qi," Enji replied.
"Level five? Yuan Qi?"
"Forty one thousand!"
"When you reach the foundation realm, that's the energy you'll be gathering, Yuan Qi. There are nine levels of artifacts, with level one being the lowest and level nine the highest,"
"Oh, I see,"
"Let's get it for him," Ming Lu voiced. "The earlier we get the resources he needs the better,"

"Alright," Enji nods and said calmly. "Forty five!"
The uproar below halted and the hall became quiet. A great silence greeted all corners of the hall. Those below looked up to their room, afterwards they turned back and remained quiet.
"Forty five thousand going once, going twice and sold to the guest in room S-5," the host spoke at a rapid speed, breaking the silence that had descended.
"Forty five thousand? Isn't it a huge amount?" Hiro asked.
The lady with the orb walked away and another man stepped on stage with a silver box.
"It isn't for father and mother," Elta replied.
"If you see something you like, let us know," Ming Lu said.
"Uh? Really?"
"The next item is a five kilogram worth of Purple Hydra grass. A level five herb used for the refinement of detox pills. It is useful against a lot of poison even when eaten raw. Do note it is still a level five herb. It's starting price is twenty thousand gold with an increase not less than a thousand," the host said.
"Yes, really," Ming Lu said to Hiro.
"Okay, if I see anything I like I'll let father and mother know,"
"What about me?" Elta asked.
"Twenty two thousand!"
"Twenty three thousand!"
"Twenty six thousand!"
"You have your own money don't you?" Enji asked.
"Eating my parents' money feels much better,"
"You! Haha, sure,"
"Yes!"

"Thirty two thousand,"

The man walked out of the stage with the box and a woman came up with a pillow, that cushioned a pair of daggers.
"The next item is a pair of level six artifacts. A normal level six artifact will go for at least fifty thousand, market price. Since it's a pair it's starting price will be hundred thousand gold, with a minimum increase of five thousand,"
"One hundred and ten!"
"One hundred and twenty,"
"Father, I want that but… but…" Hiro stammered.
"What's the matter?" Ming Lu asked.
"I don't want it for me, I want it to win someone over,"
"Hundred and twenty five!"
"Is it Lu Dei?" Elta frowned at Hiro.
"Yes, he seemed to like daggers,"
"Hundred and thirty thousand!" Enji called out.
"Father, It's a waste to give that grumpy guy a gift,"
"The ranking war is a war setting, right? It's good to have allies during war and I'm sure Lu Dei will be a valuable ally,"
"One hundred and thirty, going once, going twice and gone to the guest in room S-5,"
"Hmph, that grumpy guy won't help me. He doesn't like me and I don't like him,"
"You claim to be older but you can't think about this," Hiro said. "It doesn't matter if he doesn't help, as long as he isn't your enemy. If he helps you good, but it's better to have one enemy less,"
"Hmph, I still feel it's a waste. Besides, he can get it himself,"
"Well, I don't think so. He'll appreciate it,"
Enji turned to Ming Lu, who had also turned to him. She had a smile on her face that made Enji smile.
The lady with the daggers walked away and another lady came on stage, with a scroll on top of a pillow.
"The next item is a map of the Ancient ruins. Please note, a master at the eighth stage of the nascent soul realm who ventured into the second region of the Ancient ruins returned heavily wounded and drew this map. Along side it is a compass, the expert claimed to have found in the Ancient ruins. He said the compass worked there and it was the reason he was able to escape. The starting price is two hundred thousand, with a minimum increase of ten thousand,"
"Two hundred and ten thousand," Enji said as calm as possible.
"What's the Ancient ruins?" Hiro asked.
"It's a region that has the legacy of masters of old. A dangerous place even for ninth stage nascent soul experts. It's were ancestor level pills, artifacts and many more are found," Elta replied.
"Oh,"
"Two hundred and twenty thousand," a voice called out.
Hiro turned to the direction the voice came from. It was from a room two windows to the right.
"Forgive me patriarch Lu, I also have an interest in these,"
"Two hundred and thirty thousand, ha!" Enji yawned. "I dont want to pay too much for an item that may or may not be useful. Give way and I promise, with everyone present as witnesses, I will give you the map for a quarter of the initial price. The compass is all I need,"
"And what if I'm interested in both patriarch Lu?"
"Then I assure you, you will loose both," Enji smirked.
"Hmm, very well, I'll step back. I'll pay for the map immediately after the auction,"

The lady with the items walked away. And two men got on stage with a big box.
"The next item is a well preserved level seven beast corpse. The starting price is five hundred thousand. The minimum increase is fifty thousand,"
"Six hundred thousand,"
"Seven hundred thousand,"
"Seven, fifty,"
"Eight hundred thousand,"
"Eight hundred thousand, going once, going twice and sold to the guest in room S-4,"
"We should leave," Ming Lu said. "You need to get things done,"
"I need a little more break," Enji exhaled. "Let's go,"
"What? Already? They are just getting to the good part," Elta cried out.
"We have something important to do,"
"What about the thing old Sai needed?" Hiro asked.
"We already bought it,"
"Oh,"
Enji turned to Izuji and tossed him a ring. "Go pay for everything. Be quick and meet us at the manor. Get a receipt for the items too,"
"Yes patriarch,"
"If you get there before us, go to old Sai's courtyard and let him pick the thing he wanted,"
"Yes patriarch,"
Izuji bowed and left the room. Elta folded her arms and pouted. "Can I stay?"
"No you can't, the items being auctioned next were put by us," Ming Lu replied.
"Oh, okay. But why are we leaving then? Who would watch?"
"You don't have to worry, there's someone in place,"
"Let's go,"
"Let's go eat," Enji said.
"You are just trying to extend your time outside the manor," Ming Lu said.
"Yes, and in my defense, it's with the family,"
"Fine, let's go eat,"

"Mom! Mom please, please don't leave me. Here is the medicine, I got… I got it,"
An old lady laid in bed. As quiet as ever, she remained still. And with her eyes devoid of light, she gazed into oblivion.
"Don't… leave me!"
A young girl held her cold hand and cried her heart out. Her eyes were red and her voice was shakily unclear.
"It's Ami mom… so please wake up. I beg you mom… I got it… the medicine, I got it. So get up and take it,"
"Ah!!!"
"Don't leave me, don't leave your Ami!"
~Bang Bang~
The door to the room burst open and two men stepped in.
"There you are, you little thief," the man in the lead said. "Get her and let's go,"
"Yes sir,"
The other man walked passed him and grabbed the girl, who resisted with all she got.
"Let go of me… let go!"
But it was futile. Her little strength was nothing before the man. He placed her on his shoulders and turned to leave.
"Mom! Mom!"
