Cael removed the soundproof barrier as Dieter left and sighed.
Maybe he hurried too much to share what he knew about the threat of Starspawn with the man. Even if the knowledge itself was worth sharing, there was a matter of how it made Cael himself appear.
If Cael judged Dieter's apprehensive stare well, then he must've sounded at least somewhat crazy. And that reaction was exactly why he still waited for the good opportunity to tell Astnar.
He shook his head slightly and went towards sleeping Niko and expectant Myrna.
"Dieter really didn't know much about Niko's condition, Myrna. Mostly all the things you knew already. It's inborn, rare, and there's no known way to cure it," Cael shared, sitting on the floor nearby. "But what Dieter told gave me an idea."
"Oh?" Myrna's wide eyes lit with hope. "Really? What is it? If Niko wakes up while the maelstrom still rages, I really wish we had something to help him…"
