"Daughter?" German frowned. "You killed someone? If he was a human, this might get you into bigger trouble with the law! Oh, why are you so reckless?"

"I didn't do it for nothing. Father… ever since I was exiled, I had to make my own way in the world. It took a while, but when I stood on my own feet, I knew that even if the Clans rejected me, I was still a part of them. I needed to help our kind somehow. And you, especially. So I began to use my charms to gather information about anyone who might threaten vampires."

German gasped. "All on your own? Daughter, you should've asked for your family's help! You shouldn't have done it like this. Look how you ended up!"
