Capítulo 152: Thunderdome

"What's this?" Ginevra asked. "A call for arms?"

"Must be," Cael said. He closed his eyes and focused his senses on what was happening below. "Fettas gather in one spot. We should go and meet them."

Despite these words, Cael and Ginevra didn't hurry. They walked at a relaxed pace, both giving their enemies time to gather themselves together to be wiped out easily, and to give peaceful critters time to escape.

The staircase was in sight, when suddenly, a powerful charge of mana shot through the walls of the tower. Right after it, a charge of lightning followed.

The walls, which were seemingly merely old stone before, grew alive with magic. Mana flowed through them, pulsing in an aggressive rhythm, then turned into lightning bolts that shot from ceiling to the floor, creating cracking walls that crossed the hallway.

One such wall cut Cael and Ginevra from the stairway, and another appeared only a dozen meters behind them.
