I loved my readthrough of this, kept my attention throughout with amazing hooks left for the reader to speculate on. Followed by amazing plot threads throughout the story, imbuing real world problems realistically in the overall plot of the story. Ill start off with writing quality. Very consistent punctuation throughout making the reading process easy and understandable. The descriptions and delivery for the reader is excellent. Painting the picture clearly without spoon-feeding it to the reader. Stability of updates are very consistent. Throughout my readthrough a couple chapters dropped as I was binging it. So I wouldn't worry to much of lack of updates. Story development is so thorough, paced well. Making the overall development a treat to watch unfurl. Without it just happening all at once. Interactions with characters, what happens from that, underlying corruption in the works. All delivered from seeds planted chapters ago. Giving the reader the satisfaction of seeing it fully develop overtime. Character design is incredible, each character having they're own personality beliefs and mindset. Followed by very unique names making them really stick in your memory. The author succeeds at making they're characters feel life like. Realistically portraying their interactions with others. World background is very complex, the groups involved in this story, thread into each other in very unique ways from the past and the present. Allowing lots of history to be presented to the reader and the stigma that followed it. All in all I would highly recommend this story to anyone. Very captivating story with great characters to further that. The power system having its own spin on things alongside other unique weaponry is just such a breath of fresh air. Very excited for future chapters :D

Ascendant struggle will get you hook and immerse into its militaristic powersuit(?) warfare right of the start with its high octane action scene. Author holds just enough information near them to keep the reader wanting more of its worldbuilding while at the same revealing just enough to feed the curiosity appetite. Characters(so far) have their own motivations why they are in the fray, which made me attach to them. The prose is good, however, could work more on dialogue. It sometimes confusing on who talking to who during rapid exchange. Adding actions in between could be the solution. Its a solid 4.8

A pretty unique take on the Military + Mecha subgenre of sci-fi that would keep you wanting to read more. The writing quality is *chef's kiss* perfect, and the way the author depicts scenes would make you see vivid images of them. Definitely worth reading!

Ascendant Struggle will hook you faster than a fish on a line! It's got all the high-octane military action you could want, plus just the right amount of worldbuilding to leave you hungry for more. The characters are a motley crew of fighters with their own motivations, and I found myself rooting for them from the get-go. Keep the good work going on author!

I read up to chap 19 at the time of this review. Love the story development, it hooks readers from the get go, the characters are very relatable. Discovering different identities placed into a completely complex world with unique languages. The world building is very interesting and one you do not want to miss. Give this novel a chance, it may be the right match for you.

Great dialogue and interesting twists ~ Check it out if you're bored of the typical novel stereotypes. It's a breath of fresh air!

I absolutely can not put this book down. This book is exhilarating and witty. This book is incredibly thought provoking and has made me both cry and laugh on multiple occasions. This is one of those books that makes you feel absolutely guilty for giving out five stars to other books. It is equal parts mecha superpower sci fi war novel and Epic political thriller and WLW love story. The author has an incredible skill at writing complex compelling characters that fit fluidly into an equally complex and compelling setting. This book undeniably has the best LGBT representation I've ever read in a SFF novel. I can tell the author has poured her heart into writing them. There are rarely if any grammatical or spelling errors in this book which is incredibly refreshing. I can so deeply relate to the aspirations and feelings of the characters. The author is tracing the revolution of Aviye and I can't help but notice how it mirrors and subverts the world today in many ways. "Aviye will not be divided!"

I decided to check this out because I like weak-to-strong arcs for characters, especially women. Ascendant: Struggle did not disappoint! Zai and Amri’s both grow in might and confidence as the series develops and the world-building is put to good use as a shaper for their character development. Probably my biggest critique is just that I think the title (or the subtitle, anyway) could be more descriptive and gripping. Strong 4.6/5!

The author has created a perfect blend of fantasy superpowers and guns in the novel. The mechanical writing skill is nearly perfect. When you mix that with an interesting premise surrounding 'Zai', our main character, you get a work unique enough to grab your attention until the end.

i rate this book! 4.8! i like the way you articulate your scenes, everything is well planned and set out the characters are realistic their interactions clear and believable and with a story that has such a deep military line up! tho it sometimes confuse me because im dumb hahaha but other than that the book was a really fun read i will be saving my fastpasses for laters!!
