Capítulo 43: Piercing throw
Ethan held his ground against them but it was still obvious that he was at disadvantage here.
But while they two were waiting for ethan to make a mistake. While trying to saprate him from his spear.
Ethan was analyzing the pattern in their attacks. he found out that when he used the ignite. zee changes place with bake, easily dodge the attack by his fast movements.
And if ethan try to use fast attack which are less lethal bake changes place with zee and takes them head on without much damage.
Too brake their stalemate. Bake and zee both attacked together. Ethan dodge bakes attack but suprising the brothers. ethan let himself hit by zee's attack and ignored him completely. As cuts on his body started to increased, covering ethan's whole body. Zee got weird feeling about it. So he jumped back to found out what was ethan upto. And as he made distance between him and ethan. Ethan immediately used ignite, red flames covered his spear as he immediately went after bake.
And when ethan's spear was about hit bake, zee changed place with him again.
As if ethan new this was going to happen, he immediately grabbed zees hand. he succeeded because he was prapered to do so even Before they switch places.
"you think i can't dodge such simple attack if you will grab my hand." Zee said out loud as he was ready to side step to avoid ethan's swing.
Zee was about to dodge the swing of ethan's spear but instead of attaking him. Ethan threw it as it passed by zee's ear with whistling sound. For second zee got confused by ethan's actions but as realization hit him. His eyes went wide. It was his time to get shocked now. the attack was never mean for him from the beginning. It was for bake.
He immediately think about switching back. but he got chilled sensation and his attention went on his freezing hand. Ethan wasn't going to let him go this time.
Zee looked back with horrified expression as he eyes followed the black Spear, covered in golden red flames making its way cutting through the air, with fury to devour everything. It soon reached it's destination and pierced straight into bakes chest and bakes eyes went wide in shock.
For bake this was like unexpected death sentence. He had just switched places with zee now and next second he had spear in his chest.
His face was died with shock in the same way as ethan, when they had pulled off thier earlier stunt on him.
Blue blood dripped from his mouth as he fall on his back. Laying life less on the ground with spear stuck on his chest.
On other side ethan had freezed the whole left arm of zee while he was still in shock. zee had chance to switch places with bake but it was too late to dodge the attack after changing places because of he got distracted. If he had switched with bake, then it would him who had died.
Coming back to reality, Zee Found himself in dire situation. Without much thinking he sacrificed his left arm and made distance from ethan to run away.
Ethan wasn't in good shape himself. he had taken quite a beating from both brothers and was far from his prime condition. Blood was still driping from various cut he had accumulated from zee. Every muscle of his body was roaring in pain with their slightest movement in execution of his endeavor just moments ago. He was abusing his aura for quite long now. He was long passed his limits already...
But he can't let zee escape. He knew that it would be the last thing he will able to do in this war. So he took few deep breathes and chased after zee. While taking out the spear from bakes chest on his way.
Ethan ran after him but while he took turn on the way. suddenly energy blast came his way but ethan was ready for tricks like that. He stoped the blast with swing of his spear.
But what made ethan to stop was something else. Just after defending against the blast. ethan heard a sound of footstep from near by. It was very faint sound but ethan new that if he had heard it then zee should have heard it as well.
As to confirm ethan's guess, Zee greened with smile and looked in the same direction as Ethan. Ther he saw a women with little child in her hand. She was running but sensing the gaze on her. she got tarrified and her steps got halted.
Ethan was ready to kill zee with his one last strike if zee will shot straight at women and child. Because then their wouldn't be any chances for ethan to save them. After all ethan always work on logic and not on emotions. Even if involves life and death, he will always take the most effective path.
As for right now, Ethan had felt the force of energy blast himself. he knew thatin his current condition. he wouldn't be fast enough to stop the blast in time. So if it will turned out to be straight strike. then it would be their certain death. So he was going to use the chance to get rid of zee once and for all. many lifes are at stake here after all.
