Capítulo 103: Chaos Qi Reforges The Body
Humph...!
Athena groaned lightly as she hopped from tree branch to tree branch with utter ease. Her figure seemed to be gliding through the winds. Only, with every step of her bare feet that landed on the tree branch, present there was a trail of flaming footsteps.
Her face was covered by a light red veil but her eyes showcased her emotions. She was worried after sensing the powerful and destructive Heavenly Qi... Worried for Blade's survival.
She clearly understood that, no matter how unbelievable it was, Blade who had become a Martial King a couple of months back, was now becoming a Martial Emperor.
This dangerous Heavenly Qi was his Heavenly Lightning Tribulation... But, it was simply too powerful, too destructive, too dangerous!
Appearing on the edge of a barren and desolate landscape that had destruction omnipresent for several tens of miles, Athena's gaze darted to the skies where she saw multiple bright and loud explosions taking place.
It was akin to fireworks that lit up the skies, but the scenes were many times more horrifying as the waves of winds it created would obliterate the bodies of anyone Martial King.
Thankfully, being on the surface, and a good distance away, coupled with her strength being much stronger than regular Martial Kings, Athena could stand there unbothered for the most part.
Her heart though wasn't unbothered but instead, filled with worry when seeing Blade's situation as the Heavens themselves seem to descend simply to kill him.
Boom!
Right after a blinding collision of light, and an ear-piercing booming explosion, Athena's vision picked up on the sight of Blade's figure descending to earth.
Her body trembled. Honestly, she wanted to rush toward him since even from this distance, she could see the heavy wounds on his body.
There was a massive hole in his right chest and his whole body was burnt to a crisp... But, if she were to go to his aid, Athena understood that she'll only be getting in his way.
Ka-Boom!
With a loud explosion, Blade's body contacted the floating platform. At the same time, the skies began to clear shocking Athena and making her react in an instant.
Kekekekeke...
Back to Blade, one would be capable of seeing his bloodied teeth as he snickered with utter euphoria visible from his eyes.
Though he was riddled with wounds and blood of purplish-white color oozed from his wounds, the lustrous source of life in his eyes remained lit ablaze like an immortal flame.
Cough! Urgh..!
Groaning and coughing mouthfuls of blood, Blade weakly uttered... "So... the world also has its very own rules that are... unable to be broken... I wondered why it needed to slowly seep destructive lighting into my dantian... to do all that merely to kill me... it's because of rules... and these rules don't allow it to kill cultivators outright..."
Urgh!
Raising his upper body, he groaned once more. But at the same time, a hand appeared around his shoulder, supporting him up.
"Oh!" Blade glanced to his side as the sight of Athena appeared. Nodding his head, he smiled again and said while pointing at a random location some distance away... "Go wait for me there, I still have to complete my breakthrough."
Seeing her meekly nod her head and obediently appear several hundred meters away, Blade's smile widened as he then crossed his legs, entering a state of meditation.
Below him, the platform trebled. Cracks form on the platform as with a small explosion, the platform that levitated in the skies broke apart into multi-colored lights.
These lights slowly fused into one forming a small flame. This flame was a very dark purple immortal flame that floated around Blade's body for some time before seeping through the pores of his skin and into the left side of his chest.
Urgh!
Groaning in pain, Blade's face contorted to a frown as he felt the flame penetrate through his heart and enter the core inside of this heart of his... Time passed, and Blade withered in pain as beads of sweat appeared all around his body and the purple flame merged with his dantian.
As it fused, Blade's aura kept rising to newer heights. The clouds above were dark they took on the shape of a massive face lacking features. Surprisingly, this scene wasn't known to any being even though this face was several tens of kilometers large.
At the same time, a notable change occurred in Blade's body. His wounds instantly healed and his hair, with the two white and black bangs, became a darker shade of purple along with the hair of his head that flowed down his back.
His black pupil permanently became a purple color similar to his other pupil. Two of them were much darker shades than originally as his nails grew even longer taking a deep and dark purple color whilst also growing sharper than ever before.
Once more, time passed. This time the skies completely changed, becoming night. By this time, Athena was meditating peacefully.
She had previously felt Blade's aura rising without any signs of stoppage, so it seemed like he was fine, even benefitting from whatever the pain was that made him scream soo loudly.
Inside Blade's body, streaks of dark purple flames made their way throughout his bloodstream. From his heart to his toes then back up to his brain... It passed through all his flesh, bones, muscles, organs, and sixty trillion cells.
Each cell absorbed the essence of these flames wildly. Only one person understood how broken Blade's bloodline was... As an ancient bloodline, these cells were greedy. With the purest form of world Law Qi, these cells were unable to stop.
These streaks of flames were the fusion of the nine laws, it was the origin of the nine world laws and it went by the name of Chaos, the origin of everything...! These ancient cells would never allow such energy to pass by without being completely absorbed.
Like this, time passed again. This time, Blade regained a calm demeanor. He realized what was taking place in his body and also realized what made Martial Emperors different from Martial Kings.
"Once stepping into the Martial Emperor realm, it means the decent of the quintessence of a particular world law. This world law would then produce the truest form of Law Qi into the body and a cultivator would need to control it and slowly absorb it into the cells."
Smiling, Blade uttered. "It seems my body is simply made differently. I'm already a High-Level Martial Emperor merely after one round of absorption. All of my flesh and muscles have already been reforged by this energy... Most of my bones have also been reforged.
And only some of my organs have been reforged. So it seems that a Martial Emperor of the lowest level must reforge their muscles and flesh. High-level Martial Emperors must reforge their bones and pinnacle-level Martial Emperors must reforge their organs."
Thinking this, Blade glanced forward. Athena's meditating figure came into view as his smile widened once more.
"Hmm, my body has been reborn. Let's say it is due to this reason that I need her help to release some pent-up..." But, before he could finish, Blade's noticeably longer ears which almost resembled an elf's ears, shook lightly as a voice entered them.
"Did you hear...?"
"Hear? Are you speaking about the fact that you were having fun with some dude, or are you speaking about the Emperor's Fruit...!"
"W-What did you say?!" Cough! "No... I'm a man, how could I be having fun with other dudes... And you know I was referring to the Emperor's Fruit..."
"Oh yeah, well if you knew, you shouldn't have asked such an-!" But, before the voice could finish, there was abrupt silence.
Unknowingly, Blade's figure had seemingly turned into small dark purple particles and disappeared from his previous location before a gathering of small dark purple particles suddenly appeared inside a forest near two individuals.
As the female with short black hair spoke, she had a scornful expression whilst staring at the young man in noble-looking clothing next to her. But in an instant, her expression froze as another young man appeared in her field of vision...
He had disheveled purple hair flowing down his back reaching to his ankles. His face was the epitome of allure as the woman felt her thoughts freeze and her brain momentarily stop working.
"Hey? Why're you blushing...?" The young man confused gaze followed hers and later landed on Blade's figure. Though he was confused about why she was suddenly blushing, he immediately understood after seeing the perfectly sculpted figure standing a few meters away.
Though Blade lacked some clothing, some of his clothes were even tattered and filled with holes like that of a beggar, his skin was peerlessly divine and his eyes were too captivating.
"Oh my, it seems like I've acquired the fable otherworldly appearance." Blade snickered. His smile dazzled the two even more as the confused fellow suddenly found some confidence and...
"Huh? Another one!" Blade uttered as the young man began taking off his clothing. Sighing, Blade's figure flickered and disappeared. The young man recovered soon after, but surprisingly, the woman that he was previously speaking with, disappeared.
