Capítulo 144: Another one

The empty aisle made Rody far more nervous than if he had seen a Deathless standing there. He knew what he had heard and he was certain that it had come from the very next aisle. And yet, he stood in front of the empty lane, bewilderment apparent on his face as he wracked his brain to try and understand what had happened.

'I know what I heard.' Rody thought to himself, 'I can't have imagine it. I can't have…'

With his heart thumping harder than the bass of a drum kit, he began walking down the aisle. This looked to be the section with personal care items. There were deodorants, perfumes, hair gels and other body products all along the shelf. He passed by slowly as several sweet scents tickled his nostrils. Though he normally would have quite enjoyed walking down the aisle, his current circumstances prevented him from feeling anything but anxiousness.
