Capítulo 25: New pet
I woke up when I felt something move in front of me.
I open my eyes only to see Jiro laying next to me in a hug. Her cheeks immediately redden and she turns away.
"Ooh come on. You´re so cute."
*knock knock*
I leave Jiro on the bed and open the door.
"Hihihi, I see you have a visitor. But you see class starts in 10 minutes so hurry up." Ashido
"What?" Jiro jumps up from the bed.
"Damn it! My alarm didn´t ring. See you!"
I wave at Jiro and Ashido and sprint back to my room
I kick the door open which wakes up the sleeping beauties.
"We have ten minutes to get into class!!!"
"Fuck! I didn´t even pack my stuff." Eren
"Yaoyorozu can make that for you. Just hurry up I don´t want to get punishment from Aizawa."
"Perhaps it is meant to be." Tokoyami
"No, it isn't! I don´t want another extra lesson." Sero
"Gimme just a few more minutes." said Kaminari still half asleep.
I pick up Kaminari using my quirk and we run from the dorm at our fastest speed.
We storm through the school building and arrive at the classroom. We start celebrating at the door.
"We did it!" Kirishima
"Woohoo!" Kaminari
"Yeah!!!" Eren
"You´re blocking my way. Sit down." Aizawa
"YES, SIR!"
"Now, our goal is to get you provisional licenses. The test is naturally extremely difficult so we´ll have each of you come up with at least two ultimate moves." Aizawa
Cementoss, Ectoplasm, and Midnight came inside the classroom.
"Change into your hero costumes and meet us in Gym Gamma." Aizawa
We put our costumes on and moved to the gym. It´s a big empty building made out of concrete.
"This is my facility so I can make an environment suited for every student with my quirk." Cementoss
"May I ask a question?" asks Iida while putting his hand up.
Aizawa nods.
"Why do we need to create ultimate moves for the exam. Please, explain yourself!" says Iida in a loud voice.
"Calm down. At the provisional license exam, you´ll be tested in various criteria. The most important one is your strength. The ultimate moves will greatly increase your strength." Aizawa
Cementoss touched the ground and it started morphing into thick pillars. Ectoplasm made a bunch of copies and placed them on top of the pillars.
"Get up there and start your training. Ectoplasm will help you."
We started the training, but I didn´t know what to do so I just sparred normally.
"If you aren´t sure about your ultimate moves we can move back and practice the basics. Maybe it´ll help you formulate it." Ectoplasm
"Okay"
"Cut me some slack, though. I won´t be able to respond at this rate." Ectoplasm
I ended up sparring with Ectoplasm for three more days without creating an ultimate move. My first and second bombs are enough for ultimate moves. My quirk isn´t the most versatile. I can´t make Killer Queen stronger in the spur of the moment or something like that.
One day I was relaxing in the courtyard. It´s just a little bit of nature in the middle of our dorms. I put a lounger in there so I take a rest from all the training.
*Meow*
Hmm, do we have a cat here? I stand up to look at what made the sound.
In the corner of the courtyard is a small flower with pink petals. What is shocking about it is that it has a mouth and cat-like eyes.
I´ve never seen anything like this.
I try to touch the plant, but my hand is stopped by an invisible barrier.
A plant with a quirk?
*Hiss*
I´ve got an idea. I run to the kitchen and return with a piece of salami.
The creature immediately notices the salami.
I throw it next to the plant and it starts devouring the salami. While it´s eating I try to pet it and surprisingly there´s no invisible barrier.
*Purr*
Does it need the energy from the sun when it can just eat? Maybe it can do both. What is its quirk? There are too many questions and no one to answer them.
"Let´s call you feral cat."
*hiss*
"No? Ok then how about Stray Cat?"
*meow*
"You´re pretty smart for a flower."
I have a terrible naming sense. I´m glad it didn´t get angry.
I give it a piece of ham and get to the common area. The girls are watching TV on the couch.
"Yaoyorozu can you please make me a flower pot about this big?"
The girls look at me strangely especially Jiro.
"With or without holes." Yaoyorozu
No questions about why I need it. I like that.
"I guess without."
"Here you have it." Yaoyorozu
She hands me a clay pot.
"Thanks. That´s perfect."
I dash back to the courtyard.
Stray cat is playing with a rock. It really behaves like a cat.
I scoop up the dirt with its roots and put it in the flower pot.
Stray cat starts dancing happily. It looks pretty strange, but who am I to judge. I´m not a sentient plant.
On the way to my room, I meet Kirishima.
"Hey, Kira can we come over again?" Kirishima
"Yeah, but you´re leaving after midnight. I want to sleep in my room this time."
"Sorry about that. By the way, what is this?" He points to Stray Cat.
"It´s my new pet. I found it in the courtyard. It looks like some cat-flower hybrid."
"That´s so cool. Can I pet it?" Kirishima
"Well, you can try."
He tries petting Stray Cat, but it starts hissing at him.
"Ehh? Come on kitty I won´t hurt you." Kirishima
Stray cat curls up into a cannon shape and shoots a bullet of air.
Kirishima instinctively hardens himself, but he flies away with the impact.
"Oh, and it has a quirk."
"Say that sooner, man." says Kirishima sprawled on the floor.
In my room, I put Stray Cat next to the window. I´m not sure it needs sunlight, but just to be sure.
When the boys came over for a gaming session Kaminari got into a conflict with Stray Cat. I had to put it on the balcony cause it didn´t stop hissing at him.
"It looks like not only girls but also plants don´t like you." Sero
"Oi shut up." Kaminari
