As quickly as the headmaster let them go the four students disappeared from the scene, before leaving the scene William put his hand on Filch's shoulder.
"I'm sorry about your cat, I can assure you that none of them were responsible for what happened. But we will find the culprit to make him pay" said William to comfort the warden who only nodded his head.
Then when William started to walk the trio had already disappeared, it was obvious after all Harry didn't tell about his ability to talk to snakes, possibly he doesn't want William or anyone else besides his friends to know.
Away from William was the trio pacing to talk.
"Do you guys think I should have told you about the voice I heard?" asked Harry.
"No" replied Ron doubtfully "You can hear voices that no one else hears that's not a good sign, not even in the wizarding world you should know."
Because of his friend's tone of voice Harry looked straight at him "You believe me don't you?"
"Of course I believe you. But you must admit that it sounds strange..."
"I know it sounds weird" Harry was forced to admit what was going on "Everything that happens sounds weird Remember the writing on the wall?"
Hermione and Ron nodded "The chamber of secrets has been opened" she said.
"I think someone once told me a story about a secret chamber at Hogwarts... maybe it was Bill during his years at school, I think he told me about some strange ice covered chambers"
Harry on the other hand decided to change the topic of conversation to something else that had been on his mind. He had heard among the students the term squib to refer to Filch.
"What the hell is a squib?" asked Harry causing Ron to choke back a small laugh.
"Not that it's funny really" he excused himself as he saw the expressions on the faces of his two classmates "a squib is a person who is born into a wizarding family and possesses no magic. Just the opposite of a muggle born wizard, only squibs are very infrequent."
"You mentioned a year ago that William didn't have magic either" Harry looked at Ron remembering the moment they met William a year ago. Hermione turned her attention to the subject.
"Yes, long ago my father mentions that the Rosier's are a dark and dangerous family even more so than the Malfoy's. Evan Rosier was one of the standard bearers for you know who, all the wizards in the Rosier family were always dark wizards but with great intelligence, they stay on top because of the amount of business they control, so
"Yes, my dad for a while now had mentioned William's name at home as an unfortunate event that seemed to be a kind of life lesson to the Rosier family, you know William's father was Evan Rosier one of the standard bearers of you know who"
"Voldemort" corrected William and Ron nodded his head.
"My father always mentioned that they kept William a secret, but everyone knew he was a squib."
"They could have hidden the fact that he was a wizard" said Harry
"Dad said that during the vacations, we all saw how he used the levitation spell on the troll, his talent in positions and Harry saw how he fought Quirrell. It's nothing a novice wizard like us could accomplish" Ron had come to his conclusion.
"But William studies a lot more than us and knows even more than I do about Muggles, William achieved everything he has done just by hard work, even Madame Pince talks about him in the library. Remember he learned things at Castelobruxo that they can't teach at Hogwarts" Hermione interfered in Ron's speech causing annoyance in Ron.
"If you say all that then it means that William was always a squib and somehow was able to learn to use magic, it doesn't make sense. There is no way a squib could transform into a wizard, it's common knowledge" Ron took it upon himself to get the information deep into his companions brain "Besides if it were true then old man Rosier had to have done some dark curse to make William have magic, he might actually be the heir to the chamber from before."
"Ron!" exclaimed Hermione annoyed.
"So what if I am the heir to the secret chamber?" William who had caught up with them interrupted the conversation "is it a bad thing that I'm the heir?"
"I..." Ron looked at Harry and Hermione for help.
"We don't think you are the heir" expressed Harry.
"Yeah, I don't think it's likely that I'm the heir, though if true it would be kind of cool, it means I own a segment of the castle. I might even use the status to scare some cowards" William laughed evilly earning an elbow jab from Hermione.
"If you pose as the heir to the secret chamber then you'll be in trouble, everyone in the school will stay away from you and blame you for any trouble."
"Wasn't that what was going on a year ago with the whole Gryffindor morph wizard thing?" asked William then Hermione shut her mouth "I really don't care what the rest of the students say, as long as I can make my own gains then the rest is just an add-on"
They continued walking in silence for a moment "As for whether my grandfather did any dark magic to give me magic..." there was silence for a moment, she looked at Ron directly "there was never any such thing in my grandfather did you understand, Weasley?"
"I'm a wizard now, but I was a squib before, I just figured out how to get the magic into my body, that's all you need to know and that's all I'll tell you."
