Capítulo 72: Nola, what happened? Why are you acting like this? What happened to the sweet lovable Nola who spread her legs liberally for all of us to enjoy?

Nola wasn't home but my mom said that she was on her way back from the park. She usually goes there when she's feeling down, but I need to talk to her. I got to tell her to visit the psychiatrist. And I also got to tell her about the kiss. I don't know what I'm going to say, it just happened. What can I even tell her? But this is putting a strain in our current relationship and she can't get better unless she sees the doctor.

I hear the door unlock and upon opening, "Nola." I say. She looks at me with surprise. Perhaps she wasn't expecting me here. "Nola, are you okay?"

She's silent as she looks at me. But then she says, "Yeah, I'm fine."

She spoke to me. Looks like she really is alright. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"

"Yeah, okay." And I lead her to the living room.

"Nola, About that kiss. I'm sorry, I was panicking. This has never happened before, and it was after I... well... in any case, it just sort of happened."

"Elon, it's okay."

"It is?"

"Yeah. I don't care."

"You don't?"

"No, I don't. You don't like me like that, do you? You just panicked and kissed me because you didn't know what to do. That explains it. It's fine. Just forget about it."

"I see." She's really letting this matter go? The old Nola would've been going crazy over me. Heck, even the new Nola would be reacting to it in some erratic way. Well, in either case, the faster we drop it, the better. I better get to the second point. "You haven't been visiting the doctor, have you?"

"No."

"She wants to speak to you. You better see her tomorrow."

"No, I'm not going to."

"Nola, it's important."

"I don't care."

"You should."

"Well, I won't."

"Nola, what are you saying? You got to see the doctor about your problem."

"I don't want to. I'm not going anymore, and you can't make me."

What the... Where did she get this attitude? I've never seen her act this way before. She's always so timid, but now...

"Nola, you have to see her."

"I refuse to see her. I don't like her. In fact, I don't want to see Heather either. I don't want to see you either. I'm going to try hard to go to the toilet without you because I'm done with everyone!"

"Nola, what is the matter? You never acted this way before."

"Well I've never had anyone play with my feelings like this either."

Oh no, I was wrong. She's not letting go of the kiss. That must have been some kind of last straw. Crap, what am I going to do? "Nola, I know you are mad and you have every right to be, but you got to see the doctor."

"I refuse to see that doctor ever again. Everyone is the real bully here."

"We're trying to help you."

By this point, my mom comes in. "What's all this yelling? Neighbor boy, what are you doing?"

Then Nola gets up from the sofa, "Mrs. Peeper, I no longer want to go with Elon to the toilet. I'm going to try hard to go by myself."

"Is this true?"

"Yeah. From here on, I will try my hardest to go by myself."

"You hear that Elon? She's determined."

"Yeah," I tell her, "but she refuses to see the doctor."

"Is this true Nola? Maybe you shouldn't stop seeing her yet."

"That's right," Nola responds, "I don't like that doctor."

"Now see here, my daughter. Sometimes in order to feel better, we need to take our medicine. The doctor is only trying to help you."

"But she's mean to me."

"Huh? She's mean. Well that's no doctor, that's a bully. Okay, you don't have to see he anymore."

"Mom!" I shout.

"Don't shout at me, neighbor boy."

"She has to see the doctor. I don't care if she thinks she's mean or not. Besides, I'm still seeing her."

"That's because you're a man, you can take it. My little delicate Nola can't handle mean words."

"No, mom, she has to see the doctor to get better."

"No," retorts Nola. "No more. I'm going to do things by myself from now on. Except, I can't go by myself right now and I gotta pee, so take me to the toilet."

Without protest, I take her to the bathroom. The usual happens, but I really need to talk to her. As I face her I say, "Nola, this is serious. You need to see-" What the? Is she covering herself with her hands? "What is this? You've always let me peep."

"Not anymore." Apparently she took her bag into the bathroom as she pulls out a sign that says 'No peeping' and puts it between her legs.

"Where did you get that?"

"I made it. No peeping from now on. Now turn around."

Not knowing what to say, I do as she asks and turn around. What is going on here? First she can't go and now she's the one rejecting me. Maybe this is what the doctor meant. This must be part of that mental detox she was talking about.

"Hmm... Hmhmm..." Is that Nola? "Hmhmhmhmmm...." Is she giggling? I can't tell as it's being covered by the trickling of urine. I don't want to offend her so I'm not going to turn around to find out, but I swear...

She flushes the toilet and I finally face her. "Nola..."

As she's washing her hands, she tells me, "I'm not going to the doctor anymore, and I don't think I should hang out with you either."

"Nola, please."

"I'm going to work hard to go by myself. I won't need you soon enough. You're getting your wish, so I guess you should be happy." She exits the bathroom and heads straight to her room.

I'm just left speechless. I can't believe this is happening. Yet, it's exactly what I wanted. What is going on?

== Heather POV ==

Yesterday, Elon texted me, saying that Nola was angry. That is something I can't envision from Nola. She's so meek and timid, like a mouse, but even mice can bite, I guess. I haven't spoken to her in days, giving her space, but Elon wants me to talk to her as soon as I can. Problem is I have no idea where she is. She's no longer at that electric area. Rudy must have scared her. Damn that guy and his obsession. He's dangerous and needs to seek help. But I can't keep him away from her if I don't know where she is, let alone talk to her. Maybe I should speak to Rudy instead. That guy hasn't been seen in school for the past few days, and now he's back at the basketball court like nothing happened. I got a million questions for that guy.

At recess, I head straight to the gym. There he is, just hanging out with his friends, shooting some hoops. If only they knew who he really was.

I go up to him. "Rudy, I need to talk to you." I tell him in front of his friends. He excuses himself and follows me to the sidelines. In a calm yet strong tone, I tell him, "You haven't been in school in a few days."

"Yeah. I was sick."

"Does this have to do with what happened last time you were in school?"

"Yeah, I guess. But don't worry, I'm not interested in that anymore. I'm letting it go."

"I figure since you've already discovered it, but I'm still worried. Have you been seeing the school psychologist?"

"And what do you know about that?"

"What do you mean?"

"Do you know something about the psychiatrist?"

"No, but I know she helps students who are having issues."

"Then mind your own business. You don't even know who she is."

"But I do know you have a problem. You need help."

"That's up to me, alright? I don't want you to tell me what to do, alright?"

"Dude, I know you have a thing for the bathroom. I don't what it is, but I have a feeling what it is."

"So what?"

"That's not healthy. You know it. You're an athlete like me. We both know the importance of health."

"It's not like I'm consuming anything inappropriate. See, you're just assuming things."

"In either case, you need to see her. You clearly have an issue that won't go away by itself."

"Are we done here? I got a game to practice for?"

Looks like my words are not reaching him, so I might as well just warn him. "One last thing. Leave Elon and Nola alone. I don't want you near them, alright? Especially Nola. You have no business with her."

"You mean her?" He points to the top of the bleachers. Up in the right corner, it's Nola!

"What is she doing here?"

"Beats me." He then jogs back to his friends.

It really is her, no doubt. I run up the bleachers towards her.

"Nola, what are you doing here?" She's not facing me. "Nola, I've been so worried. Elon tells me that you've decided to go by yourself. That's great!" No response. Is she really angry? "Nola, how about soccer practice later on?" She gets up and starts walking away, but not too far as she's now sitting on the other side.

She's looking at the basketball players practicing. She even has a smile on her face. She looks like she's admiring them even.

What is going on?
