Capítulo 20: Chapter Twenty
Theodore walked around with awe clear in his eyes, he did not even try to hide it as he touched the spines of multiple books. I felt my heartache for Theodore. He probably had no one to spend time with so he spends all his time into learning. Some part of me began to realize why he created a time turner.
He had probably wanted to go back to his mother or create a cure to give her with the time turner. So he could go back and his young self could live a life without trauma.
"You can lend a book you know if you want, you can give it back to me next time we meet," I said with a small smile. Theodore whipped around excitement clear in his eyes, but he held back and fake coughed. "Are you sure, I am allowed to," He said with his voice trailing off. I smiled and nodded confirmingly.
Theodore started to fast walk around to try and find an amazing book. I looked at the corner he rushed in. It was my research corner. He started reading the notes I had made and the research I had done about magic. I gasped and rushed to get the paper out of his hands.
They were all the information that I had found over the years and what I had done to improve my knowledge. Theodore's eyes glimmered as he looked back at me with a gaped open mouth.
"You..." His voice trailed off. I firmly grasp the paper and started shuffling the papers and books I used away from him. He stood there in a trance of shock. I almost gave out entirely, he just saw years worth of work that no child should be able to do no matter how smart.
"You are smart?" He said amazed. All the shock that I felt and anger filled my body, did he just sound surprised at the fact that I am smart. "Why are you so surprised only unintelligent people would not know," I huffed angrily at him. How could he just assume that I am dumb.
"I- I didn't mean it like that! I just thought that you..." He trailed off proving my point although he was well-spoken he was quite blunt for a five-year-old. I just shook my head, maybe it was time to return to the party. "Could I still get a book?" Theodore asked. He was fumbling with his fingers and looked flustered.
I felt my seventeen-year-old heartache for him and just sighed, he became excited and happy which he had not been for a long time from what I could guess. "I'll do you one better, take two books and once you finished one of the books you come to visit me for another one, one day when I visit your estate I will do the same," I said with a confident smile.
"Really!" Theodore gushed excitement flushing his cheeks. Some part of me wanted to pinch them desperately but I held in. "Yes, but we should return so quickly grab two," I said back.
Theodore rushed around and picked two different books one about magical creatures and another one about charms. I practically pushed him out of the library to return to the party. On our was about to enter the ballroom I noticed Daphne in the corner of my eyes.
She stared at both Theodore and me. She had hazel eyes and seemed to pout while she looked at us. Her cheeks were red and she had an angry look while she head over to us Draco was behind her and seemed displeased as well.
"I heard you took Theodore to your library without me!" Daphne said angrily I gulped down my stress and watched as Draco look just like Daphne. "And you also forgot about me!"
