Capítulo 47: Dinning Together
Almost half a year passed since Naruto received one-half of the Kyuubi and Yone found out that Uzushiogakure was destroyed. Naruto was trained by his mother, aunts, and uncle on how to control the Kyuubi's Chakra.
Yone on the other hand was investigating who destroyed and massacred the people in Uzushiogakure. After some time he came to the conclusion that it wasn't Kumogakure that did it but another entity trying to blame Kumo to start another war.
Yone had someone in mind which was the person that attacked Konoha when Naruto was about to be born. The other person in his mind was too old to pull it off or already died of old age.
He still has some hair of the person which he will try to use for the Impure Resurrection Jutsu. The same could be said about granduncle Tobirama and grandparents Hashirama and Mito. He got some samples of Tobirama and Hashirama from going after Orochimaru and Mito's sample he gathered before they buried her.
Yone just needed some bodies with plenty of Chakra which he could sacrifice to use the Imperfect Resurrection Jutsu on. But his current worries were not on Naruto or Uzushiogakure but on Tsunade who was overworking herself as she was trying to treat Itachi Uchiha who was suffering from an early stage of an unknown disease.
She was trying to uncover this mystery to help the young teen who is a friend of the family while raising the twins at the same time. But it would take some more years to find a cure or at least a treatment that will help prolong his life until a cure is found.
Yone in the meantime was promoted to director of the Academy. He was still teaching history to the children. But most of the time he would just look over reports that the teachers handed to him.
He was teaching history to Naruto's class when a weird question arise, "Teacher, why is it that you never became Hokage?"
The question came from a girl with pink hair who was sitting between Naruto and Sasuke. Yone looked at the girl quite warmly as he would look at any of his students.
"Why are you asking this question, Sakura?" asks Yone in a gentle tone curious why this question arose in the first place.
"Well, Naruto always says that you are the strongest shinobi in the village. Why aren't you the Hokage then?" asks Sakura thinking that Naruto was overrating Yone because he is his grandfather.
The other students seemed curious as well when Yone places his history book on the table and he says, "I was offered the position of Hokage many times by the Third Hokage when I was still younger after the Second Shinobi War. But I didn't accept the position."
"Why is that?" asks a boy he would recognize anywhere.
"Good question, Shikamaru. The reason is quite simple. I might be the strongest shinobi in the village but I am not like my grandfather. He looked after everyone in the village and saw them all as his family. My granduncle tried to do the same but his hatred for a specific clan made it difficult for him to see everyone as equal.
I on the other hand was born at a time when the Uchiha Clan would not have accepted me as a Hokage that is why I and my younger brother passed on being Hokage," says Yone trying to explain this delicate matter to the children in simple turns.
"What do you mean that the Uchiha Clan would have been against you becoming the Hokage?" asks now Sasuke a bit offended by what Yone said.
Yone smiled at Sasuke for still being this innocent not knowing how the adult world works as he says, "It is because of my Bloodline. I was raised by the Senju Clan but as you can see I have the eyes of the Uchiha Clan. They would never allow someone like me to become a Hokage. I was never welcome in the Senju Clan nor the Uchiha Clan. The only Clan that accepted me as I was, was the Uzumaki Clan.
But everything changes over time. The Senju see me as one of theirs while the Uchiha Clan can now tolerate my presence in the village. It might even be better than that thinking about that now."
"So you had to earn their respect," says Naruto excitedly when Yone nods.
"Yes, I earned it as will you all once you become Genins of Konoha and begin your journey to guard the village and its ideals," says Yone not wanting to go deeper into this topic since they were still children.
"I will become the next Hokage and make everyone regret ever looking down on you, grandpa," says Naruto with confidence in his voice which made Yone hold back his laughter because he knows the horrors of being Hokage which was only a desk job which absorbs your life.
Yone was quite happy that he is only a director. He doesn't have to shoulder the safety of the entire village just the school program that the children will be going through every year.
The class then continued like normal afterward and Yone retired and let Iruka and Mizuki continue with their classes. Yone received a secret mission from Minato regarding to Mizuki as he was tasked to surveil him.
He only knows the information that Hiruzen told him about why Mizuki was under watch and it involved one of his former students who is now a missing-nin. This made it clear to Yone that the person with who Mizuki got in contact with was Orochimaru.
Yone was also tasked to look after the Forbidden Jutsu Scroll which is stored in the secret library. What everyone didn't know is that the scroll stored in the secret library is just a prop that Yone created while the real deal was in his closet in one of his scrolls.
He secured it a long time ago because of the scenario they were facing at the moment. He was sitting in his office reviewing the reports the teacher wrote about the students when Yone stumbled over Naruto's report.
'Naruto Namikaze, his chakra control is poor compared to his classmates but his chakra reserves seem immense which allows him to help him use his Jutsus,' reads Yone from the report which was written by Iruka.
"It seems that I need to train Naruto myself in chakra control since the Nine-Tailed Fox seems to have messed with his chakra control after entering his body," says Yone to himself since the only ones knowing about Naruto being the Jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox are a handful of people.
"Or I let his aunts and uncle continue his training while informing them about Naruto's poor control over chakra," says Yone while putting the report away before flying over the other reports.
Yone could see through the kids in the class beginning with Naruto who was in love with Sakura while Sakura was in love with Sasuke. Sasuke seemed to be more interested in his training with Itachi after finding out that he was sick.
Then there was Ino who was also in love with Sasuke while Hinata was in love with Naruto. Kiba seemed more interested in raising Akamaru at the moment. The same could be said about Shino who concentrated on his insects rather than girls.
Then there was Choji who uses all of his energy on eating a lot while Shikamaru was as lazy as his father was his age. Yone finished his day at the office when he suddenly gets attacked by a spike made of sand.
He didn't even dodge as the spike just went through his body creating a hole in his chest. The edge of the hole was made out of flame which mended the hole.
Yone looked in the direction of where the spike came from seeing Hanzo and Mito ready to fight against Yone only smiles as he says, "You two won't last long against me."
"We will see about that, old man," says Mito seriously which shocked Yone a bit.
"Old man? The youth those days have no respect for their elders," says Yone before a kunai appears in his hand.
The twins attacked him simultaneously using everything they got only to find their father disappear out of their sight before he flicked his finger against the air making a crack appear before they felt their bodies tremble wildly.
They flew backward into Yone's arms which caught them easily before they collapsed. Ther he holds one kunai in each hand pointing them at their throats with a smile on his face.
"You are still too reckless," says Yone to the twins that ambushed him.
"You are just too strong," says Mito complaining about their father being overpowered.
"Your future enemies won't hold back either against you two. It's better to learn this lesson from me now than from an enemy later on," says Yone gently to his children before letting them go.
"Now, how about we find your mother and get some dinner to take home to eat it together with your siblings," says Yone knowing the answer already.
"Barbecue!" shout both of them at the same time and Yone carried both of them on his shoulders toward the hospital to get Tsunade.
Once reunited they went to Akimichi's Barbecue and they ordered some food to take away before returning home.
They all ate together when Tsunade notices that Yone seemed disturbed about something and asks, "Is everything alright in the Academy?"
"Yes... Well, no, actually there is a girl that isn't made to be a kunoichi. She has potential but isn't trying to get better than needed and I think that this could get her team killed because she could become a burden instead of a helpful member of her team," says Yone worried about this student of his.
The children seem to ignore what Yone said while the adult that fought in a war knew the horrors that the new Genins will face once they graduate.
"If she really is just dead weight, she shouldn't graduate even if she passes the test," says Hori coldly not wanting that girl to drag anyone with her to death's door.
"I have tomorrow a talk with her parents but maybe I could send her to the hospital to learn from you, Love," says Yone looking at Tsunade who was surprised by what Yone just said.
"You want her to become my student like Shizune before her?" asks Tsunade as Yone nods.
"Yes, she could become someone useful if she is taught right," says Yone before turning to his older children and saying, "Also, I received a report in which a teacher stated that Naruto has poor chakra control. What do you all have to say in your defense?"
"Poor control?" says Hina confused when Yone nods.
"It says that Naruto uses too much chakra in his jutsus. I want you to teach him the basics again since he lost the feeling of them after receiving the Nine-Tails' Chakra," says Yone informing them while Mito and Hanzo ignored the conversation the adults were having.
"You want us to teach him the basics again?" asks Hana with a smile on her face.
"That is exactly what I want you to do. I won't help Naruto until he asks explicitly that he wants to be trained by me," says Yone when the younger pair of twins stopped eating.
"Then why are we being trained by you if we never asked you to train us? " asks Hanzo finding it unfair since Naruto was like an easier version of their current training which was being observed by one of Yone's clones.
"Because you are my children and everyone before you went through the same training," says Yone since he trained everyone the same way except for when it came to their Devil Fruit which was custom-made for everyone differently.
"We all went through the same training, Hanzo and Mito. You might even have an easier training plan than we did since we were trained to survive a war while you were trained to survive those times of temporary peace," says Hori in his usual cold tone.
"Big Brother is being mean," says Mito with tears in her eyes trying to trick her older brother who panicked for a moment before Shizune told him that Mito was playing him.
Yone only smiled as he enjoyed the dinner with his family wholeheartedly since it wasn't every day that they would sit together at the table.
