Capítulo 76: C-rank Mission
It's been a week since we became Genins and now it is time to make sure that we don't get anymore d-ranks as we have already completed the number of d-rank missions required for a genin to be able to enter chunin exams.
"Oi, sensei, we all are ready enough to even take A-rank missions and we are only asking do c-rank ones. We defeated you and if you don't allow us on the basis that we are not ready then you should also be demoted to genin rank as well." I said ruthlessly so that he accepts our offer else we have other ways to achieve it as well.
"haaah, alright, let's go to hokage-sama and take on some c-rank missions and if you do well which I know you would we would complete even higher rank missions that is only after completing 7 c-rank missions." he said as we all jumped with joy at his words.
"then let's go, what are we waiting for?" a certain red head in our group said as we all head to hokage tower.
once we reached the hokage's office the receptionist stopped us and asked what are we doing here. we told her that we are here to get mission from hokage-sama and then she allowed us to enter his office.
once we entered his office, he saw us from behind his table full of papers. he greeted us," good morning kageyama, saito, saya, shinobu and hinata. so are you here to take on a mission today?" we all nodded at that before greeting him.
" so here are some d-ranks which would be good for you? there is catching tora who looks like escaped once again. cleaning inuzuka dog's kennels. painting Mrs.Hora's new house, cleaning Mr.gillily's garden. so which is the one you are going to choose?" he asked.
"none of them, we are here to get a c-ranked mission and our sensei agrees with us at that as well." I said answering his question.
"yes, hokage-sama, they all are ready to take c-rank missions the day when they began genins and the d-rankers we were doing till now were just a formality." our sensei said assuring old man hiruzen.
"okay, we do have a few c-ranked missions which you could do. personally I suggest, a guard mission as that is the best as a first c-rank for all genins, here it is. your mission would be to escort mr.gensuryu to a village near land of stones. According to Mr.gensuryu their are many bandits in the route you all will be taking and most probably no ninja. that's the reason it is a c-rank mission." he said giving us a paper on which the details of the missions were given.
I looked towards the girls and then the sensei. we all nodded at the same time. sensei said," we will be taking this mission."
"good, you can meet Mr.genseryu in waiting room. you are to report at the village's main gates at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow.now you may go" hiruzen said as we all leave the room and start walking towards the waiting room.
we reach the room in a minute and ask the receptionist to call mr.genseryu. once she calls for him we see a fat middle aged man who is wearing rich clothings coming towards us. he most likely is a very successful merchant or a waste of space.
he spoke," ah, so you are the team assigned to escort me to my village. I believe that you all are enough to escort me especially you Mr..." he said looking towards sensei and sensei replies," kageyama" "Mr.kageyama but are you sure to take these children with us. no offense to you but they still look like around 8 or 9 years at most and are around my children's age and that is why I am asking this. I don't want them to be hurt." well, that was unexpected to say the least.
"you, don't need to worry Mr.genseryu, they are one of the best genins in the whole village and are more than enough to protect you from any danger on the road." sensei said assuring the man.
after talking a bit with the man he said to him as well as us," okay, so we all will meet at village's main gates tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. sharp" and he then shunshin'ed away. We also follow his lead and shunshin to our home.
