To be fair, you have low chances of getting any kind of real Info on magic outside Kuoh because there is little chance of encountering mages, and even if You find a real mage, the probability of said mage wanting to help you is low too, and then if we go for a realistic route, any reincarnated trying to understand magic by his own account more likely Will end in nothing or a magic accidente where you blow yourself in a thousand pieces altough to be fair, we know that the human magic is based in calculations, so i guess you can go for the electromagnetic cannon route or Just magnetic magic to try to attract the Iron in the body of your enemies.

I said metal because i don't remember Germa having any shape memory armor so i asked since it shouldn't be the same as the Germa suits because Judge obviously wouldn't sell those, unless i lost a chapter from the manga.
The shape memory alloy sold by the Big Daddy Pirates is much worse than the special shape memory armor made by Germa Technology. He also has some primitive shape memory metal, but the quantity is not as much as the memory alloy in Basire's hand.
