The manor was quiet.
The lights in many rooms were on, and there were even torches that had been lit not long ago in the courtyard, but there was no sound in the entire area.
"It does smell of blood," Yuma Mizuno tone was low, with obvious self-blame.
Kei Takamoto's spirits were slightly better, and he looked around cautiously. "What should we do next?"
The die was cast. He knew the only thing they could do now was to kill the evil spirit and prevent further victims.
"Find the demom and kill it! This way!" Aoki said and quickly walked toward the direction where the smell of blood came from.
Takamoto opened his mouth, wanting to ask about the specific plan. But seeing that Aoki had gone far, he could only pull the despondent Mizuno and chase after him.
Passing through a square, a tall black building appeared ahead. A tall, rough-looking man sat in front of the building. When he saw them, he immediately got up.
"It's you again! How dare you come back!" His expression was ferocious, and his tone was filled with hatred.
Mizunoya cheered up and quickly said, "He is the leader of this group, Doihara!"
Aoki asked, "How many are there?"
"When we came during the day, there were more than a dozen people who blocked us! According to our investigation, their core members are at least thirty," Mizuno replied.
"No wonder there's such a strong smell of blood," Aoki said, looking past Doihara toward the back.
The black building stood quietly in the middle of the lawn, its door closed and no lights, like a sleeping giant. The smell of blood wafted out from inside.
Doihara slowly took out a gun from his pocket. "I originally planned to come find you, but I didn't expect you to come to me."
Takamoto stepped forward and shouted, "Doihara, do you know what you're doing?"
"Of course I know! I want to kill you!" Doihara said seriously.
Aoki stopped Takamoto, who wanted to say more. "Let me handle this."
Takamoto glanced at him, nodded, and took two steps back.
Aoki looked at Doihara. "Besides you, everyone else was eaten?"
Mizuno and Takamoto were stunned, their eyes suddenly wide.
Doihara was furious and aimed his gun at Aoki. "It's all because of you! You killed them!"
"Thank you," Aoki said.
Doihara, Mizuno, and Takamoto were all stunned.
Aoki added, "Sending you scumbags to hell is a great achievement. Thank you for sharing the credit."
Doihara's expression twisted, and he was about to pull the trigger when—
Poof!
An arm stabbed into his chest, tearing out his heart.
"After eradicating the evil, you should go with them," Aoki said.
Doihara's eyes went from blank, to frightened, to unwilling, and finally to deathly silence as his body slowly fell.
Mizuno and Takamoto were stunned. They hadn't expected Aoki to kill someone so suddenly.
Bang. The door of the black building suddenly opened, and a huge figure slowly walked out, a harsh sound echoing through the night.
"Jie Jie Jie, Demon slayers, you're too late! I have already eaten—"
Poof!
Sharp nails broke through the scaly skin, and the palms sank into his head, stopping the harsh sound abruptly.
"Devour!" Aoki shouted softly, forming an invisible vortex with his palm at the center.
The evil demon didn't even struggle as its body quickly twisted and decomposed, Devoured by the invisible whirlpool.

"Huh? Only 15 experience points?" Aoki was shocked.
Judging from the aura, this demon wasn't weak. He originally expected to get more than 50 experience points, but it was only 15 points.
"Did I make a mistake in my prediction, or…"
Aoki had an ominous premonition. There could be errors in his predictions, but not by that much. Most likely, the experience gain had been greatly reduced.

"No, I mean, you killed him, but we have rules…" Mizuno was a little incoherent.
Aoki said, "Don't worry, I killed him, you just need to report it truthfully!"
The Demon Slayer Squad prohibits killing. But he wasn't part of the Demon Slayer Corps; he only had a cooperative relationship with them. He suspected that kagaya specifically took this into account and asked him to handle this matter.
Kagaya isn't a rigid person who doesn't know how to adapt; otherwise, he wouldn't do something as unconventional as letting a demon join the Demon Slayer Corps.
