Kapitel 24: CHAPTER 24: MY HUSBAND
Once they arrived at the Blue Moon mall,they made their way straight to the jewellery store. An attendant came to them and guided them inside explaining about the brand and what it represents blah blah blah.
Zhao Xia was awed by a shiny crystal necklace and moved to observe it closely, liking the way it glowed radiantly when exposed to direct sunlight.
"Umm....how much is this?"She asked the attendant.
"It costs 100,000 Chinese Yuan, ma'am."
"Okay can you pack it for me, please."
"Right away ma'am ." The shop attendant wore some gloves before taking the necklace from its display, in a bid to pack it safely in a cushioned box.
Right when she was about to pack it, another customer suddenly stopped her.
"Wait...I want that necklace."
"It has already been bought, madam."
"I will double the price."
"Am sorry ma'am but the deal has already been closed and the customer has already purchased it."
"Do you have another piece of this?"
"Sorry madam, that was the last necklace of this kind."
"Oh....It's just that it's so beautiful."
"She can have it."Zhao Xia said surprising both the woman and the attendant.
"Really?"
"Yes. I can see how you want it so bad. But I am not that in need for it. You can take it."
"You are so kind. Thank you . Send me your number. I will wire the amount to you."
"Oh no, it's fine."
"I insist."
"Okay. Here's my card ."She said as she passed the young lady a card.
When the lady read her name, she suddenly jerked her head up. "You are THE Zhao Xia?"
"Yes, why?"
"Oh my god. I am such a big fan of yours. I mean you are THE boss lady in town now.You may not know this but I look up to you as my idol."
Zhao Xia chuckled before asking the young lady of her name.
"You can call me Lan."
"Just Lan?"
"Yes."
The shop attendant passed the now safely packed necklace to Lan.
After sending the money to Zhao Xia and talking to her for some time, Lan left the store.
Yang Liu came to the counter, loaded with necklaces,bracelets, watches and decorative rings in a small basket. If she had been there earlier, she would have recognized Lan with only one look.
The two spent the rest of the day purchasing items ranging from overcoats, purses , shoes, dresses, name them all.

Evening arrived and Yang Liu and Zhao Xia were the first to arrive at the already booked private room of the Carnival Bar. They ordered various wines and other alcoholic drinks as they waited for the other three men.
Zhuo Li came in next dressed casually as he sat opposite the two and laid his head on the table letting out a loud groan.
"What's with you?" Yang Liu asked.
"I just finished an eight hour surgery and only had a one hour nap before coming here."
"You had surgery on a weekend?"
"It was an emergency."
"Well, sorry but we have to see Liu's new catch. I can't believe you are the last one to settle among our trio."
"Don't even start." He commented in time with Zhao Haoran entering the room. He sat next to Zhao Xia before looking at Zhuo Li whose head was still on the table.
"What's with him?" He asked Zhao Xia.
"He finished an eight hour surgery an hour ago and had to come here after a very short nap."
Yang Liu 's phone suddenly rang. She picked it up and Zhao Xia vaguely saw the caller's ID saved as 'Hubby'.
'Ooh... someone is already in love.' She cooed inwardly as she looked at her best friend.
Yang Liu got up and headed towards the door half her body in half out. She waved her hand towards a man in the corridor and hang up the phone. The man approached her and whisked her off her feet, hugging her closely to him . He proceeded to kiss her and finally put her on the ground.
"Your friends are already here?"
"Yes. They are waiting for you inside."
"What a bad first impression."He commented though felt no regrets whatsoever. He was used to people waiting for him anyway.
Yang Liu proceeded to enter the private room with him , their hands intertwined. "Guys let me introduce my new catch." She said as they appeared in front of the other three.
When Zhao Xia raised her head to look at the new catch her best friend introduced, the glass in her hand fell down smashing into smithereens.She was shocked, flabbergasted ,astounded and astonished.
Everyone looked at her. Zhao Haoran held her hand under the table tightly, jolting her from her stupefied state.
"Oh ....I was just shocked that Mr. Huan is your boyfriend."
"Oh...he is not my boyfriend but my husband."Yang Liu added the final blow.
This time, even the expressionless Zhao Haoran had surprise and shock etched on his face.Zhuo Li looked at the Zhao couple and then at the Huan couple.
'What the hell is going on here?' He soliloquized as he continued to observe the four especially the Zhao couple.
"Your who now?" Zhao Xia asked.
"My husband."
Zhao Xia masked her surprise, stood up and extended her hand to Huan Kai, a smile plastered on her face.
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you ,sir."
Huan Kai accepted the hand shake. "The pleasure is all mine. And please, call me Huan Kai.The friends of my wife are also my friends."
'If only you knew I am your worst enemy.'She thought inwardly as she retrieved her hand from the hand shake.
"This is my best friend, Zhao Xia, her husband and my cousin, Zhao Haoran and my other close friend, Zhuo Li." Yang Liu introduced.
"Mr. Zhao, it is an honor to finally meet you." Huan Kai said as he extended his hand for a handshake.
"It is also an honor to meet you, Mr.Huan." Zhao Haoran replied as he shook his hand.
Huan Kai also greeted Zhuo Li and they finally settled down.
They drank the wines to their hearts content but Zhao Xia drank glasses and glasses of wine until the others, especially Zhao Haoran became concerned.
"Don't worry, I can hold my liquor pretty well." She said as she downed another glass of wine.
"Well, we said that today we will get drunk till we drop."Yang Liu commented as she picked a whole bottle of wine and directly drank from it.
Thirty minutes later, the two ladies were giggling like hyenas and talking gibberish that they could only understand.
Zhao Haoran and Huan Kai looked helplessly at their wives as they conversed among themselves. Zhuo Li was already dead asleep like a log, on the table that even a blast could not awake the log.
"Yang Liu *hic * , I...I have a sec..*hic* secret to...to tell you."Zhao Xia suddenly said and Zhao Haoran's head snapped to her direction. If she blurted out THAT secret, then....
