Kapitel 133: Playing the Grand Minister

The Grand Minister permanently grew out his left pinky nail. So as his hands dug into Korbin's palms, it was like a scorpion had just stung him. Immediately, pain flared up from all around the contact. 

Korbin remained expressionless, not daring to flinch or betray the slightly hint of movement. 

Seeing that the Northern King remained still, a flicker of joy flashed before the Grand Minister's face as he realized that the young king had truly been knocked out. 

He released Korbin's hands, letting them fall back onto the bed with a small crescent that no one else could see. 

Daphne saw the small flicker of the Grand Minister's ring as he burrowed into Korbin's hands. Even he wouldn't be that dumb as to personally poison Korbin through these means, she decided, not going forward. She would see what act this old fool could put on for the gathered crowds.
