Kapitel 134: Beauty Saves the Hero

It happened all too quickly. No one even had a chance to react, and everyone stared at her with wide eyes. The nobles and officials took a step back, some of them doing as much as to run out of the room.

The servant girl ran by the crowd of gathered people, knife in hand as she shouted a bloodcurdling battle cry.

"Die! You Monster!"

In a few steps, she was already at the bed. Raising her hands high, she plunged her dagger into Korbin's left chest. Blood immediately stained the bedsheets, blossoming as if a scarlet rose. Although the dagger was tiny, it still made a sizable cut as blood continually welled from the wound.

The Grand Minister was completely baffled. Had his people misunderstood his commands and put in place a crazy person instead of the assassin? He took several steps backward, grabbing a random minister beside him and using him as a meat shield against the dagger.
