Kapitel 74: Date.

(Wednesday, October 18, 2007)

Alex PVs

At the moment, I'm sitting in a room at Gringotts Bank, having a cappuccino and talking to Kaja about my business with Berlin, what my days in prison were like, what her days were like, what she's been up to, and how her business is going. Bank.

"So does that mean I now have to keep an eye on this man's accounts and transactions?" Kaja asks dissatisfied.

I looked at Kaja with dead eyes and said. "After everything I told you from an hour ago until now, you only think about taking care of his accounts, really you are a lost cause, what do I do with you?"

Kaja didn't care what I said and just laughed. "Hahaha. You should have gotten used to it, I'm like this, and I won't change, I'm the best at what I do and I love it! You saved me and offered me this opportunity, and in less than three years, I've done what most can't. Do in life, I showed what I'm capable of and I didn't let you down, I followed your plans and I was a good girl, aren't you satisfied with me?

"Hahahahaha... Of course, I'm satisfied! I have nothing to complain about your performance, you're a good girl, it's just that you only live to work."

Kaja looks at Alex and says. "Do you want me to keep an eye on Berlin's accounts and his business transactions?"

I took a sip of my tea and then answered. "Yes, he's an unpredictable man, and I don't trust him! I have someone to see and a past to discover, I can't keep an eye on this old man all the time, the shadows have more to do."

Kaja calls some employees, whispers something in their ears, looks at me, and speaks. "Okay, now I have my eye on him, you don't have to worry! Have you ever thought about taking a vacation? You work a lot, and you still want to talk about me!"

I looked at his face and noticed that she was serious so I laughed. "Hahaha... I just got out of the most dangerous prison in the world, and now I'm going to meet one of the most dangerous old men in the world!"

Kaja pouts and says. "Hump. You really can't help it, it's no use talking since you never listen to anyone!"

Just as I was about to continue our conversation, the phone rang, I look at Kaja with an apologetic smile and answer it. "Hello ex-con here, how can I help?"

Alex can hear a voice laughing on the other end of the line for a few seconds and then that voice responds. "Stop being silly Lex! I already have the information on the person you asked me to track down.

It took a while but I managed, Dominic Wilkinson was investigated by the FBI but they closed the investigation for lack of evidence so this made the search process very difficult! Sorry for the delay."

I was happy with the news and responded quickly. "Good job, where's the address?"

Meg makes a smug voice and says. "Hahaha... I'm the best, and I just do a good job. I'm sending the information to your email, I found something interesting by chance, maybe you'll like it!"

After listening to Meg, I turned to Kaja and said. "Take me to a computer, please!"

Kaja, who was listening to all my conversation, was already prepared and took me to her office, when she got there she said. "Feel free, needless to say, this is the best computer on the market!"

I looked at the Apple Computer and couldn't help but smile, but then I focused on the task and looked at all the information Meg had given me, and unsurprisingly saw that old Oleander's coordinates matched Raymond Reddington's, meaning they know each other. And Raymond Reddington has visited at least 3 times in the last 6 years. Right after seeing this, I replied to Meg. "Well, that's no surprise, just looking back at Raymond Reddington, the guy is uptight and complicated, even my dad was!"

Meg answers me without being surprised by my reaction and says. "I knew you weren't going to call, as always you prefer to ask directly rather than make assumptions."

I looked at Kaja who was smiling as she listened to my conversation with Meg, so I smiled at her too and then replied to Meg. "Well... I think it's easier for you to confront the person than to be filled with paranoia and suspicion, if I trust someone, I give that person the benefit of the doubt!"

Kaja and Meg smile at the same time, they know this guy, and they know he doesn't think like everyone else, he's very smart and objective, so they weren't surprised and laughed. "Hahaha... That's just like you!" laughs Kaja.

"Hahaha... I agree" says Meg.

"Fine. I'll hang up Meg, I'll be home this week. Kisses to you and the girls! Bye."

I hung up the phone and spoke to Kaja. "Call Ginny and tell her to get the plane ready. We're leaving today!"

Kaja was surprised by my haste and couldn't take it anymore and asked. "Understood. But why are you in such a hurry, and who is this person you want to meet so badly?"

I looked at Kaja with a complicated look and said. "Um... How do I explain this... I'm looking for my mom, that's it. This guy might know who my mom is, that's why I want to see him!"

"I got it, hope you're lucky, I'll call you now!" After wishing me luck, Kaja goes to Gina to inform her of my decision.

(Some hours later)

I'm in a country house, I'm a little scared if my clues end up here, and if none of them is my mother, there are too many doubts and fears for my taste.

I've decided to end it, even though my mother is neither of the two women I'm not giving upon. With these thoughts in mind, I knock on the door, after a few seconds the door opens and I say. "Hello Mr. Dominic, I have some questions for you, may I come in?"

Dominic glares at me and asks. "Who are you, what do you want with me, and why should I let you into my house?"

I looked at Don and said. "Well, it's up to you, I have some information I'd like to get from you, of course, you're not obligated to do anything, we live in a free country, you don't have to let me in!

It's just that we still have laws, you don't want to let me in, I won't force you or invade... But it's kind of weird, letting criminal Raymond Reddington into your house and worrying so much about me, I think it's my civic duty as a good law-abiding citizen to report him to the police. Have a good night!"

Don looks at me wide-eyed and says. "Come in, I'll make you some tea!"

I smiled and said. "Thank you so much for the hospitality!"
