Kapitel 75: Revelations

Alex PVs

I went into Don's house and I'm waiting for him to prepare tea, I thought a lot and decided to tell the truth and ask everything I want to know.

Don came back a few minutes later with the tea, and I asked. "You know, old man, why didn't you pull out the gun that's stuck at the bottom of the table, maybe you called Raymond Reddington?"

Don looked at me coldly and said. "Boy, you threatened me, just the fact that you're still breathing is an honor! Don't abuse it!"

I looked at him indifferently and said. "Okay! I know, I'm honored, can't you see? I came here looking for answers, and you're not going to want to know where I've been and what I had to do to get to you!"

Don is surprised by my indifference to his threats and asks. "What do you want to know boy! If I know the answer I might think about answering you."

I was silent for a few seconds, then I drank the tea and then spoke. "Well sir Dominic Rostova, have you ever heard of the apocalypse? Well, apocalypse in the original sense of the word means revelations, it was written in a way that seems to reveal some future events, but its placements are vague, for example, it talks about wars, epidemics, and so on."

Don is surprised by my words and response. "Yes, I didn't know that but where does what you want to ask me to have to do with that?"

Ignoring his questions, I continued. "But wars have existed since man was man, the same can be said about epidemics."

Don was already getting angry and said. "You're crazy, why are you telling me these things, are you a terrorist by any chance? My name is Dominic Wilkinson!"

I looked at Don like he was an idiot and replied. "You're asking the wrong question old man, what you should be asking is, how do I know your name, and why am I here, and the main thing is, how much do I know? And what I said about the apocalypse is partially portraying what I want to know, namely, the apocalypse of your life is what interests me! More specifically your knight of the apocalypse, Earl Swagger."

Don is surprised and then nervous, he moves his hand to the underside of the chair and tries to draw his gun, but soon realizes that the gun is not there, so he understands that the young man in front of him is responsible and speaks up. "What are you talking about kid? I don't know who this Earl Swagger guy is or about this apocalypse that is my life!"

"Well… I already knew you wouldn't be honest, after all, you promised, and a man should never break his promises, I respect that!

His promise and about the chain of events leading up to the events of 1991, what I want to know is older, remote from 1970 to 1980."

Dom was terrified of the little information I revealed, he feels that I know a lot but is afraid that I know everything so he was lost in thought and didn't bother to think about what I wanted to know and how it could help him out of this situation that supposedly leads to his death.

After a few minutes, he organizes his thoughts and responses, then speaks. "Yes. It's no use lying, you came prepared, you know me and you seem to know things you shouldn't, if what you want to ask me has nothing to do with the events of 1991 and nothing to do with my promises, I I will answer your questions, but you will answer mine too!"

"Old fool! You're wrong, you don't even look like Agent Oleander anymore. I, as you said, came prepared and have no obligation to answer your questions, but you must answer mine, if you cooperate and answer what I want to know, I keep pretending I don't know Marsha's location, and Alexander Kirk or worse Neville Townsend will never locate her!"

Don gets angry and says. "How... Don't you dare!!"

I smiled and said. "Well... At least you assumed it was Oleander, honesty is everything in this life.

As a token of my appreciation, I will tell you about his wife, Virginia Lopatin. What do you think?"

Don feels he is going crazy, the man in front of him knows everything! These secrets were well kept, and everyone involved hasn't contacted each other to protect this secret, but this guy knows everything! Don finally gives up and says. "You know everything, don't you, ask what you want to know, and I'll answer, but know that you're digging your own grave!"

I looked at that old man, whose life was destroyed by the stupid things his daughter did, and I replied. "No! I don't know everything, I only know something around 80% to 90%, and no, I'm not digging my own grave, they've already dug it for me and have been trying to bury me there for years.

I already asked, I want to know what you know about Earl Swagger and his mission in Russia, don't lie to me! I know you were responsible for spying on him!"

Don was already anesthetized so he was simply curious about what the young man doesn't already know, but he put that aside and thought quickly so he could honestly answer this young man's questions and try to protect his granddaughter. "Earl Swagger arrived in Russia in 1974, nobody knows what his mission was or why he was in Russia, all I know is that it was the height of the Cold War and the world was on the verge of suffering a third world war, the Union Soviet was gaining ground, but everything changed in 1975, our intelligence leaked, and we lost a lot of conflicts, nobody knew what was happening and the situation only got worse, until an order was given, find the traitor or spy who is leaking our information ..."

"Let me guess, was it Earl Swagger who got this information and passed it on to the US government?" I asked amused.

Don didn't mind my interrupting him and continued to count. "I was in charge of finding the spy, and that's what I did, after a few months of searching, I found the prime suspect and had my men keep an eye on him, only I soon realized that this job required someone more subtle.

Only the subtlety of a woman could succeed in this mission, that's when I decided to send a woman to his side, in the first months it was difficult for her to approach him, but in the end, everything worked out."

I got nervous, why doesn't he say who this woman is! worst of all is that I can't hurry. "Did you get the upper hand in the Cold War?"

Don looked at me suspiciously, but his granddaughter was the most important thing, and since this story has nothing to do with his promise, he was honest and said. "Well in the first year, everything went well, the problem was that at some point he found out he was being deceived and started to pass false information about the United States and we kept losing the fight, in the end, in 1977 his period ended and he was sent back home, it was then that we realized that he had discovered the truth and that we had been deceived.

A truly intelligent man, he was the beginning of the fall of the Soviet Union."

It was the moment of truth, it was time to find out who was the woman they sent to spy on my father. "Who was this woman, who managed to spy on Earl Swagger?"

Don's mood was complicated, after sighing, he said. "The woman's name is Katarina Rostova... My daughter.
