For a long time, Malin always felt that Fate had been quite generous to him. Although he had to face that life-threatening job every day, as long as he had the lovely Leopard Girl cooking delicious food for him daily, and as long as there was meat to eat and cats to stroke, life wasn't too unbearable. Working a bit harder and facing some difficulties on the job weren't really an issue for a man.
Moreover, being able to live two lives meant one shouldn't have too high demands, right, Mr. Different-Kind?

So far its good, its giving LOTM vibes with all the transcendent and mystery things going on. Keep up the good work!
The setting is a bit jumbled and haphazard; there's several different power systems at play, and things feel inconsistent. That being said, if all you want is guns and magic and smiting Chaos with shotgun rounds, the story does a great job with the action. Just don't think too much about how a 12 year old kid with giant blood who looks like an elf and can cast 5th level spells gets put in charge of the church knight squad xD
In general I really like the story and if it has a harem I like it 100%. The only thing unreal is a 10-year-old boy who smokes (even if he is reincarnated) and who seems normal to everyone. In my personal opinion I hate the protagonists of novels who smoke excessively and if it is like that as a child, what can you expect as an adult?. After all, smoking isn't pretty, it's not healthy, it doesn't make you smell good (you hang out with demihumans who supposedly have a good sense of smell), and it doesn't make you look cool.
